Well I could be wrong but I can't see any faults in Shedeur Sanders game. I think he's one of the most exciting prospects in recent times.

A bold strategy by the Bengals to allow Hendricksen to seek a trade. A bad defense will get worse.

Yeah running back is, in general, a relatively easy position for a team to get to an acceptable level of play without overpaying or over drafting. We just got out wrong letting Montgomery go, a player who wouldn't have cost a lot and who really wanted to stay. But I'm terms of my list of priorities for the bears to fix, it is way, way down the list.

Josh Allen gets a new deal, record setting six year $330 million contract. And he had years left on his current deal.

DK to the Steelers, Devante to the Rams. Plenty of activity over the weekend.

Myles Garrett now staying with the Browns after having sought permission to seek a trade. Four year $160m contract.

Jaycee Horn just been made the highest paid DB, 25mil APY, can only imagine what Stingley JR going to get now.

Alot of people seem to be saying that Seahawks on for a rebuild, not sure on that but personally think avoiding paying Smith 40 million a year and Metcalf 30 plus million is better long term for them. Dont think Metcalf worth that contract. Apparently they are thinking of bringing in Rodgers too, him, Pickens and Metcalf on same field, how long until that melts down though Tomlin has a knack for being able to manage all that.

What's the plan for the Seahawks I wonder? Their OL was/is poor but they had pieces with Geno & DK along with JSN, a decent running back. D was coming around and in that division, they can be competitive. Now with an unknown veteran, only JSN, still no OL, what is the plan with Schneider?

Rodgers is a busted flush. You don't get back to where you were when you miss a year at his age.

His stats placed him around 20th of NFL starting QBs this season which would suggest he could absolutely still be of value to a QB needy team needing a rental for a season to blood in a rookie during a rebuild.

But if hes willing to accept that less glamorous role is an entirely other thing.

His ego will probably make him retire I'd guess if he can't get a team contending for a ring to go for him.

    I think the opposite.

I think he's a train wreck waiting to happen.

He'll go early enough in the draft because teams need QBs, but I don't think he is NFL ready.

He's lived a charmed existence in Colorado, I don't think he is adaptable.

    I may be wrong.

Can you explain why you think he's bad? His accuracy is top notch, he has a big arm. He was top five in yardage and TD passes, fourth highest QBR of those that threw for over 4000 yards last season despite being the most sacked QB in college football. He didn't have an offensive line in either of his two years in Colorado. .

I would have doubts about him too- he had Travis Hunter to throw to and two more in Horn and Wester who figure to be day 3 picks at the draft. He definitely accurate but dont agree with him having a big arm, I believe his air yards per throw was low- Ward and Dart far better arm strength. He seems to be able to read defenses well- was good against blitz but everything alot faster in NFL, cant see how people have him hyped as a top 10 pick- probably not the case now mind with Raiders trading for Geno.

titans quiet which is no surprise, hard to know what happens, and FA may not be that bothered with such big questions at the QB position

Shouldn’t have said anything LT Moore from the Steelers, crazy deal

Sam Darnold to the Seahawks; 3 year $100m+ contract.

Man that's a pretty big move.

Fields on his way to the Jets, hope he does well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,112 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

There is a LOT happening! The Fields and Darnold moves are very interesting.

Glad the Chiefs picked up a new OT and went one in, one out at RB. Hopefully a full year out of Hollywood Brown too.

Free agency is a spectator sport for us Cowboys fans. We spent all our money on a QB who cant play anymore.

I just don't think he had the game intelligence to be a big time QB.

He might have all the numbers but I've seen him play a few times in the last few years and there are situations where I feel he looked lost.

There was one game last year that he looked a mess, they won the game eventually but he didn't look good.

Plus his whole college career has been with his father as HC.

He didn't work out at the combine, leaving that, as others do, to the more regulated environs of pro day.

It looks like Cleveland are going for him, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a typical Cleveland move

Which game are you talking about where you say he didn't look good?

It was either Kansas state or Utah, I really can't remember.

He looked very poor early on, it was a late game and I went to bed early myself.

I just don't think he's going to be a big time NFL player.

Time we will tell if I'm right or you are right.

I watched the Utah game, against a premium defense. It started out very tough for him with really good defense with lots of moves by Utah. He figured it out pretty quickly though and had a great game.

I didn't see the Kansas State game. I just had a look at his stats which were 34 of 40, that's an 85% completion rate, three TDs and 1 int. That's pretty impressive.

On Monday 24th March, RTE will broadcast a documentary titled "Punt - The Irish and the NFL".

Not much else info about it yet, just this promo from the production company. I see footage from a Steelers Watch party.

The tush push might be banned. It's only an improved version of the QB sneak. It'd be ridiculous decision to ban it in my opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,263 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

What's the logic behind banning it (beyond "the chiefs can't defend it")? Seems like it's had some positive effects, including less punting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,030 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

Couple of changes voted through, which I think are definite improvements.

Overtime in regular season. Both teams now guaranteed a possession even if first score is a touchdown. Similar to the current play-off overtime with the exception that it will still only last 10 minutes - so if Team A scores a 'slow drive' touchdown they might put the opposition into 1 minute drill.

35-yard line for kick-off touchbacks. Increased from last seasons 30-yard line, so we should see more returns.

Score happy league moving the ball out again, no surprise. The 20 was fine, there was never any need to change. Only change I wanted to ever see on STs was the kickoff being moved back to give a chance to return the ball.

Yeah I would have preferred the kick to be taken further back to keep the ball in play (from the kicking teams 20 yd line maybe) - as the teams line up 10yds apart already there is no disadvantage.

This will change how teams approach the final minutes of a game - if you score to go up by 3 this almost forces a team to put it in play and roll the dice - from the 35yard line if you can make 20yards you are in FG range for most kickers.
