Can't win games when you shoot yourself in both feet. McCarthy shouldn't be starting over Ryan, it's been a ridiculous choice from the start.

The most telling part from me was our inability to convert the pressure we had at the start of the game. Our attack is just poorer than it was in previous seasons in those situations. We can work the ball wide into a bit of space, but we lack the pace out wide to threaten with it. There was a period where we picked and go'd, to good results. It was one of the few times we penetrated there defense effectively.

Again, he is better than any other Irish 10 at his age , ever. Little bit of context, he might not be ready yet but I think he is competitive and he was up against a dominant defence and pack.

Always disappointing to lose, but some of the lads were pretty poor. Joe, even the silly yellow aside, I thought was very poor, VdF and POM struggled. Thought Sam had a bad day, Nash the same, JGP struggled.
