He’ll have learned more in this 60mins”. Honestly such bullshit. Going for a grand slam and talking as if it’s a friendly game

France could hit 50 points here

    Prendergast is an absolute mess.

Lenehan: 'Doris will be a big loss for Ireland'.

They're 19 points down with him leaving the pitch.

Starting McCarthy was the wrong call, Sam is learning but not great today. Nash has completely made people complaining about his non selection this week look very foolish. Too many passengers. Back play was completely nonexistent.

France were good when they needed to be and helped greatly by Gardner who I dread seeing referee Ireland as their is a clear bias.

Ultimately on Ireland not being good enough. It will be a tough 2026 campaign as I can’t see a win in London or Paris.

    Aviva is its usual silent

The pack has been obliterated. Completely swept aside today. No idea how McCarthy wasn’t hauled off way earlier.

Prendergast cannot tackle, cannot get over the ball to rob it and he appears to stroll around the place

    Some brutal refereeing too

Letting Mike Catt go and not snapping up Felix Jones will never make sense. We'll be trounced by NZ, SA and possibly Aus in the Autumn, plummet down the rankings and will have another nightmare seeding for the RWC. Good job IRFU.

We fell apart here. France will feel they left a GS behind them this year

France creativity and flair the difference..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,543 ✭✭✭swiwi_

yeah probably. Ireland have fallen apart though since. Look completely short of ideas.

Shot out multiple times in defence and ended up in no mans land. Was highlighted at half time how he didn't wrap around behind the maul and left us outnumbered for the first France try. Then he tackles with his head to get himself yellow carded and we concede try trys in his absence. He's been dreadful.

The double standard on display today has been very educational.

Yeah sorry, he's actually brilliant and completely lives up to the hype. My mistake 🙄

Thought there was a release there. Would say 13 of those points have been from coming on the wrong end of 3 calls. Some of those have been big momentum ones.

Our attacking structure just hasn't worked at all today. Not getting the penetration to facilitate our quick ruck play. A lack of power and speed to threaten the defense.

He has been given zero chance at 10 while a turnstile has been given several chances. Crowley won a turnover straight away there today after coming on while Prendergast minutes later butchered an overlap and knocked on.

Unfortunately it’s not. He’s been completely exposed today and is very very limited. He’s not physically ready for this level of game.

Could be a 7-1 split in their favour on tries by the end.

    This is a serious trimming

Good turnover, ref was just on other side of ruck. Gardner favours team in possession big time

Gardner not giving us a sniff.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

Poor performance all round really. You can’t blame this all on SP. Two yellow cards, one of which was idiotic. Players like Bundi and JGP who are normally hugely reliable fairly anonymous. This was coming, there’s a reason no team has won the 6 nations three years in a row.

The cards killed us. No cards for France despite blatantly cynical penalties, and ref not even giving us blatant penalties at key times have had a huge influence on the game though.

    oh sweet Jesus.

Which players on our team have been below the standard required to beat France?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 393 ✭✭Sephiral

Three of the first choice backline missing, two yellow cards from individuals, a pack that was beaten up aside from Doris.

Dan Carter could have played 10 today and not affected the outcome.

    Squad needs a refresh.

Henshaw not taking Meafou, a 20 stone lock, on the outside is indicative of the lack of confidence in this Ireland team.
