    Hi All,

My friend has a 2012 Mercedes C Class with 225K on the clock.( Paddle,7 gears I think)

Very little service history came with the car and they don't know if it every had a transmission service.

They've not had a problem with the transmission to-date, all good and smooth.

How often is a transmission service needed?

If it did need one, ball park cost and time to carryout?

    Thanks

    GO

I got it done on 2013 E-Class with a similar 7G-Tronic with similar milage, I think it was about €400 in Mercedes.

It's a bit of an involved procedure to do it by the book, where you need to warm up the car first and run through some sequence. How much of a difference that makes I don't honestly know tbh.

I felt the car would sometimes, maybe 1% of the time, jerk when going from 5th to 4th, but the flush didn't improve that, so it may have been a sticky solenoid.
