Has anyone had a problem with exceeding the 3TB cap on Digiweb's "unlimited" broadband? These days with multiple consoles and PCs downloading COD, you wouldn't be long burning through that in a month. never had an issue with Pure, but thinking of going SIRO this time.

Digiweb just confirmed that they do enforce their T&Cs with regard to going over the cap.

I was away last week. What did I miss regarding Digiweb?

There was a rep posting spam on several threads about signing up... not a good look which is unfortunate as I normally recommend them but not doing stupid stuff like that

I've had good experiences with them too - the folks I deal with in Louth are generally very sound and helpful. Hopefully the rep got their knuckles rapped. No need for that.

Vey unhappy. First time joining Pure Telecom.

Rang Tuesday to confirm switch date and router was on way - switch date was today. Was told router was enroute. Completely forgot about it till this morning and thought maybe it was outside, etc - it wasn't.
Internet turned off at 08:30 (30 mins before due time of 09:00).
Rang Pure to confirm I was switched and told I was.
Asked where router was and got a lot of apologies - useless to me now. Was told it'll be with me Monday. No internet from Friday morn until Monday.
Asked can you ship today as I live in Ireland, only 2.5 hour drive to Dublin/ Cork and was told all the DPD driver were busy!!!. If they cared they would have got that router to me today - I know it is possible, maybe use different courier, you can make it happen.
Anyways as of now they haven't rang back and I am in same boat.

So customer care is very poor here.

I was on the phone with them and they said they do not… hmm. Which way did you get the confirmation of enforcing the 3G cap?

It is critical for me so if Pure is better in that regard I would go with Pure.

    Email:

    Thank you for your email.
There is a 3TB allowance on the service per month.
In the case of you going over it on 2 occasions in 1 month, you would recieve
an email notifying you of excessive usage and Digiweb would reserve the right
to slow down or restrict your service.

    No cap on Pure.

Interested to know, what uses up 3 tb per month?

    4k streaming or something?

Or just downloading tons of torrents?

The response from the agent is actually wrong, if going by the FUP, as it’s if you go over it on more than 2 occasions in a 3 month period.

“We do not throttle or cap service, however, if a customer exceeds the stated fair usage allowance for data on more than 2 occasions in any 90 day period, then Digiweb reserve the right to terminate or suspend the customer’s service. Digiweb will proactively contact customers in advance of any suspension or termination of service.”

I don't know if we would get near it, as I havent had a service that meters it in years. But in a house with 6 consoles, 2 gaming PCs and numerous ipads and streaming services, I'd hate to find out.
