Self monitored alarm with no sub fees

You could use the UTC panel but its not cheap as it comes in a kit form for what you are looking for.

Use the Wi-Fi in your home or a direct cable to the panel from the router for free access to the panel.

Best Security did a full upgrade on our alarm recently. Service was excellent.

They use the HKC panel, so there is a modest annual fee to HKC and small annual fee for servicing (replacing batteries).

And yes, I didn't like the hard-sell of low monthly fees that add up in the end.

Thanks for reply. So the annual fee isn't a monitoring fee? I assumed any fee with an alarm system was for monitoring…? So with this setup if there is a break-in, you'd be alerted via the app/automated text? There isn't a call from a monitoring company?

Okay, thanks for info. I'm pretty sure the guy we had around pricing for a wired Hkc system was saying that the system would include monitoring for that fee (about 80 euro per year).
