That very much was the deal with WW2. The UK didn't finalise it's obligation to pay the US for WW2 assistance until the latter days of Tony Blairs time in No. 10.

The US got radar, computers, computer software, jet engines and lots more valuable stuff for free, while charging a pound of flesh for their help.

Vice President JD Vance. Don't know if you meant it as a rhetorical question.

The Americans may as well start attacking Ukraine at this stage.

They’ve left them blind and without extra ammo coming in.

Demanded a lot of their resources, that they give up memebership of nato and that the cede territory.

I’m waiting for Trump to remove permission to use Himars for long range attacks.

Wtf else is there for Ukraine to negotiate about?
next, the sanctions will be removed and Ukraine will be asked to leave Kursk before negotiations can begin.

An absolute disgrace of a country.

Nice to see all this US excrement isn't sapping all Ukrainian morale:

You are right, they might as well, but would be more likely to start providing the Orcs with more advanced weapons than they ever indian-gave Ukraine.

    I said this months ago.

Id say they will start sending intelligence they have built up about the Ukrainians to Russia very soon.

The Nazi battalions? You mean those famously anti-semitic nazis, those in the employ of the Jewish Volodymr Zelensky? Or the nazis who never seemed to have hindered or interfered with the Hasidic pilgrimage to Uman? Those nazis? Or maybe you mean the well-know anti-gay nazis…those of the pink triangles? Exactly, those associated with the anti-gay persecutions for which Ukraine is notorious. Oops, sorry, I meant to say 'for which Russia is notorious'.

Has Starmer had much to say about the US shutting down intelligence while the UK is all talk about supporting Ukraine? The time has passed to pick a side. You can't do what Trump tells you and support Ukraine at the same time.

I was listening to Tom Clonan. He was asked how big a Ukraine security force needs to be. He said 30,000. He was then asked how many, of the 30,000 Ireland could supply & replied 180 :)

Joe McGucken did a podcast (Bold with Joe McGucken EP 3) with some idiot from Leixlip who was over fighting for UKR. He says himself that the first unit he was put in was a Nazi unit. He then moved to an international unit with a load of Columbians.

Things are changing so fast lately it’s hard to keep up.

What happens if Putin doesn’t stop the war???? Regardless of any deal signed between US and Ukraine???

Is Trump just expecting Putin to stop the war?? Because he has a deal with Ukraine?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,980 ✭✭✭yagan

In case you haven't noticed Trump never criticises Putin, and Putin will never stop trying to expand Russia.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,746 ✭✭✭20silkcut

    Yes I have noticed that.
And Nigel farage never criticizes Putin .
And Andrew Tate never criticizes Putin.

    And Elon Musk either.

The brotherhood of Assholes is very united.

Probably has a deal with Putin too. He is willing to give Putin anything he wanted so far. Whatever about using US intel to target Russian sites it seem Ukraine won't get the advance warnings of ballistic attacks on Ukraine anymore!

"What happens if Putin doesn’t stop the war???? Regardless of any deal signed between US and Ukraine???"

And thats, my friend, is where you start blaming Ukrainians./s

But if Putin keeps attacking and advancing that’s the deal phucked?? No way is Putin going to stop attacking Ukraine if he smells blood?

based on this logic ‘you are on your own’ maybe the former leader of the free world should withdraw itself and its military bases from said free world - keeping its ‘greatness’ to itself for a while.

so does trump keep pressing Zelenskyy to concede more & more to putin in the hope it would persuade him to call off the dogs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,746 ✭✭✭20silkcut

Putin is going to look for the entirety of the 4 Oblasts including the parts they haven’t conquered and Kherson. He is probably going to look for the insane demand of withdrawal of NATO to 1989 positions as well. And no doubt Kraznov will consider it.

This ‘journalist is trying to make out that his question to VZ. Re his attire was a harmless ‘ one. People that he talked to were expressing their curiosity about his garnments so he decided to ask VZ. Just to get it clarified. I think the question was part of a very coordinated strategy to ;-

    (1) unnerve him

    (2) belittle him

    (3)=ridicule him

    (4) deflection his focus

    (5) and show the American people what this man is like and therefor is not worthy of our support

    (6) show the American people that he ‘disrespected ‘ the office of president. I felt that Trump , et. Al. decided a at some stage during the meeting to put this word ‘disrespect ‘ into a sentence at an appropriate time. VZ did NOT present them with the opportunity because it ‘came out of the blue ‘ when Trump and Vance came out with the ‘disrespect ‘ comment

    It was of interest

So if Ukraine considers Trump is at war with Ukraine and sided with Putin.

Does this mean Trump's russian bodyguards are excellent at their job and Trump has nothing to fear?

And this is a Ukraine that's been at war with Russia and has killed how many Russians?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,208 ✭✭✭jmreire

Getting more like Putin..creates a problem that only he can protect Russians from, and keeps them convinced by keeping the "emergency" going. If he survives the war in Ukraine and it finishes, then he will "manufacture" another war… because without a war, he's a dead man. He need's war. Trump is learning fast…just wait until he declares his first "emergency".

What a sneaky sly thing to do by cutting off intelligence all of a sudden.

More lives will be lost than saved and all he spouts is he wants to see the killing end.

    A horrible cretin.

On minerals, based on information in various Ukrainian and foreign media and podcasts, it goes as follows.

It was the Ukrainians who brought this up in Q4 2024. They knew this could be one of their cards to play with Trump. In fact, it was Zelensky's team who wanted Trump to get interested in this. Reportedly, it was Republican senator Graham who introduced this idea to Trump. Now, both parties have been trying to reach a mineral deal for several weeks. There have already been several updates of the text, and Zelensky was reportedly heard yelling at the US negotiator at one of these sessions. The Ukrainians weren't happy with the version before the Friday meeting. Zelensky's mandate was to ensure security guarantees, and knowing the current version of the text was suboptimal, he suspected that team Trump wouldn't move, but he had to be seen as attempting to strike the deal in DC. He wouldn't have agreed to this version of the deal anyway, so the Trump team ambush and drama culminating with them throwing him out was actually what we wanted. He couldn't get a better result. A few days later, all the EU, UK, and Canada rallied behind Zelensky, and Trump's team again signals they want to negotiate. This will go on for some time because neither of the parties is happy with the current version of the treaty. Ukrainians aren't that much in a hurry; Russians are getting hammered as we speak. So right now, Zelensky is playing a delaying game; he signals he is open to signing it, but that's all - it's only a signal. It's Trump who is in a hurry because of his "24 hours" nonsense and the Russians who desperately need a pause. Stopping aid and intelligence services by the US sucks. It's a pathetic attempt of the Trump team for Ukrainians to concede. But Ukrainians won't concede easily.

Note: The prospecting re UA minerals was done in the 70s during the USSR. Something to consider.
