Feb seems a bit ambitious unless it’s exiting inventory. You’d deffo get it before end of March to meet their Q1 numbers no doubt.

That's what I was thinking also. Although I wouldn't mind starting the new BIK rate in March :) Looking forward to get to grips with it.

It's probably getting too long for some buggy code somewhere. Is it time for a new thread?

anyone having intermittent issues with their M3?

last week the blowers in the aircon didn’t come on. Didn’t show the flow on the graphic on screen. you could feel the heat but no air been blown. Been fine since.

The last few weeks. I seem to have a network black spot in my route home from work. It drops most days around the same spot. Sometimes it comes back a km or two down the road. One or twice it didn’t come back till I got out and back into the car at home. (70km later). That may not be the cars issue. But a pain all the same.

Last two days cruise control has started to disengage randomly. You get a warning saying it’s unavailable if you try turn it on again. Then comes back. Doesn’t seem to be a visability issue.

And Spotify has been a mess since the got rid of the free account a few months ago. I have always been signed in with my own premium account. But since then it’s been a nuisance. It rarely remembers where I am in podcasts and starts them again. And there are so many ads.

It’s a 222 SR with 93k km. the car has down an update recently I. The middle of these issues.

Those sites are all clickbait so always headline grabbers like that, I'd ignore but at the same time once the Juniper came with stalks they now have the forming and parts to bring back to the 3 with ease

Richard Symons on YouTube has bought a 2021 M3 with 347 thousand kilometres on it. Car looks great and seems to be driving well. Failed it's mot on a rear suspension bush which is a minor fix.

Interior looks well and the paint has held up well. No squeaks or rattles and he paid less than £10k sterling for it.

    That's decent value.

Interesting to see what kind of degradation it has sufferred. Must have a look at video.

I'll be interested in that myself. I'm going to guess it will still be in the low 90's or high 80's.

Another guys on YouTube did an experiment where he dropped the car down to 5% battery and then charged it back up at low amps overnight. Seemed to have some affect on rebalancing the cells. Scan my tesla had him reclaim two ot three percent of the lost capacity

Ordered the M3 RWD myself recently and also have Feb 25' as delivery date. I assume that's placeholder and wouldn't expect it till April earliest…

Just been having issues with connectivity/Spotify. It is dropping connection more than it ever did, and in places where it didn't happen before. Often I have to resort to putting on the radio, then sometime later try again. Otherwise all is good.

Try a 2 button reset to see if it helps clear it.

This, if you know the spot then do the 2 button coming up to it is what I'd try

less than a week old and the wind this morning cause a plastic gate to hit my car and damaged the paint. It looks worse in the pic below. Any good recommendations around South Dublin to fix it or is it something Tesla would workshop would look at. Cheers

No main dealer will fix this.
They will send out to the likes of Ace.

Call into a local detailer. They may get it out with a machine polish.

thanks, I’ll look up who is around my area. I think it should just polish out but raging at how it happened 😫

    lol..

    Dublin 15.

    You've recommended Flawless before Gumbo?

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 42,289 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

Yes but Dublin 11 so a trek from D16 unfortunately. Any half decent detailer could do it. There has to be a few in and around sandyford industrial estate.

Got this about the 2024 Model 3 standard range. I am already on 2025.2.6, so this email is about two months too late.

    Hi Positron,

We are writing to inform you that Tesla has issued a noncompliance recall on certain model year 2024 Model 3 vehicles, model year 2024 Model Y vehicles, 2024 Model S vehicles and 2024 Model X vehicles that may experience loss of rearview camera functionality.

Our records show that you are the owner of a vehicle affected by this action.

    Reasons for this recall
On a small percentage of affected vehicles, upon vehicle power up, a reverse current may cause a shorting failure on the car computer board, resulting in the loss of rearview camera functionality.

Loss of the rearview camera display may affect the driver’s rear visibility and increase the risk of a collision. The driver may continue to reverse the vehicle by performing a shoulder check and using their mirrors.

Tesla is not aware of any collisions or injuries relating to this condition.

    What Tesla will do
At no cost to customers, affected vehicles began receiving an over-the-air (OTA) software update that changes the vehicle power up sequence to prevent the shorting failure condition.

If a vehicle was impacted by this condition prior to installing software release 2024.44.25.3, 2024.45.25.6 or a later release, Tesla will replace the vehicle's car computer at no cost to you.

    What you should do
No further action is necessary from owners of affected vehicles that are equipped with software release 2024.44.25.3, 2024.45.25.6 or a later release if an affected vehicle has not experienced the shorting failure condition or stress that may lead to the shorting failure condition.

Tesla will notify you if your vehicle’s Car Computer needs to be replaced.

    Thank you,
    the Tesla Service Team

PS: I edited it to remove my name of course.

So Richard Symons uploaded all the info on the high mileage model 3 that he bought.

347,700 KMS and the battery is at 88.53% original capacity.

    That's very good.
