I'd say Musk sent this to him and he thought it was sooo funny he just had to repost it. Grow the F**k up, you absolute Moron!

If they've had it a few years I feel sorry for them. If they're buying it now, they're idiots.

You’d have to ask the question- why would you isolate nearly half your potential customers in America by siding with Trump- no less how the rest of the world feels about it.

The company is about to tank - no question about it - buyers will decide and I’d say they’ll ultimately say no to Tesla- who wants a car that likely won’t be supported by software updates or proper servicing - not a hope in hell I’d buy on new or second hand

It's a double hit - Sales are likely to decline sharply and the stock market are going to start getting off the Hype train.

Declining revenue and a loss in market confidence in the companies future plans is going to rapidly tank the value.

I use a cut off in my head, if somebody is 241 or earlier then the extent of Elon's threat was not necessarily known unless you were paying particular attention. After that point it moves into people who know and don't care and they are arseholes.

If you look at his x account the real musk is evident arrogant eager to push extremist theory's and misinformation and with a strange attitude towards women people will react as doge is shown to be a tool to weaken the federal government and wipe out consumer protection and regulations over environmental protection to benefit big corporations

Trump is supporting no regulations on ai or cryptocurrency this is the age of the grifter the scammer

Sales of Tesla cars are falling as people do not want to give musk more money

Tesla’s market cap has always been utter nonsense driven by increasingly outlandish statements about how close the company is to making some sci-fi breakthrough - and because of it has enjoyed a tech like valuation instead of a car company one.

It felt inevitable for years that eventually EV proliferation would benefit the traditional car companies who would have the ability to make them better, more efficient and cheaper. I would have thought the end game would have been a buyout of the brand and facilities by one of the big boys but at this stage the brand itself is toxic so it might end up going to the wall entirely.

even right wing publications and journalists are now ringing alarm bells that Trump admin is driving US economy into the gutter

Half? If we are being honest EVs appeal most to those of a liberal mindset and I suspect made up the majority of Teslas US customers to date

Internationally, western liberal and conservatives alike have been shocked by the changes the new administration has made to long standing US policy.

I can't see anything but at least a 60-70% drop in US orders and a 90+% drop in international orders.

The old two wrongs make a right gambit. When pointed out that something dodgy is going on, the first port of call is to find someone else who did something similarly dodgy and claim that makes it ok. When in reality both are wrong

There does not seem to be any sign YET of a Russian reaction to the news that Trump and Zelenskyy are to sign a mineral-rights deal in Washington on Friday.

I expected at least a statement that any planned meeting between Putin and Trump in the near future will be cancelled until reports on the deal are confirmed by a direct Yes or No from Trump.

Edit: If there is none, it would lead to the conclusion that there is some unmentioned side-deal with Putin so he can run the lie that Russia is a/the winner in Ukraine.

One thing that will have to be at the centre of the deal is who will be the contractor's doing the work at the mineral-rich zones for A. the financing. B. the infrastructure. C. the actual mining D. the security of the mines.

Call the deal a multifaceted risk.

The Telegraph is UK right-wing, which means they respect Thatcher, deride Corbyn and flick the Vs at Gerry, but they're never going to infinitely deny reality in the way that the US right wing outlets would.

US Conservatives are fully on board with it. They just didn't have the nerve to go as far as Trump has.

US conservatives don't buy EVs generally, apart from some conservative libertarians.

I just don't see how his behaviour cannot be seen as anything other than toxic to a large proportion of his customer base. The only thing that might protect them is the limited choice of EVs in the US.

If Liberals were buying Teslas, most of that would have been before Musk showed his true colours. I can't see them being that desirable in a market with increased competition and cheaper alternatives.

Yep imho Trump admin is so far right now that traditional US, European right parties look leftie

In some policies MAGA have even co-opted what was previously far left ideas proving the horseshoe theory of politics

Eitherway the destruction of what is possibly the best US economy ever is something else to behold, unfortunately there’s a good chance our pensions and investments are tied now to this self scuppered ship

As for Tesla, them being on paper worth more than every other car maker combined never made sense even before the MAGA mind virus and drugs destroyed Musks brain

Point taken- indeed , the majority of your purchasers isolated in the US no less the rest of the world.

Whilst some may not necessarily refuse to buy based on politics, the risk of being left with massive depreciation and unsupported technology would certainly be enough for most intelligent buyers.

It's an interesting thesis and im not saying he's wrong but Ambrose Evans Pritchard has a real chicken little attitude to economics.

Nice to see hes branched out from his usual "the euro is collapsing".

Environmental impact of the mines also - I would imagine America will go hell for leather just like they do in their own country and leave water supplies and environment in a toxic mess - I know it feels like a minor point right now but huge swathes of Ukraine could become uninhabitable .

So most of the voters wouldn’t even see a benefit from trump tax cuts and will be waiting a long time for yellow liquid to trickle down

I don't know who this is but in fairness, the Euro had no shortage of crises in the past few decades so it's easy to dismiss him as a chicken little with the benefit of hindsight.

A child could see that gutting a country for tax cuts for the rich would lead to disaster. If they couldn't, there's a literal walking example in the form of one Elizabeth Truss.

I'd say they'll feel warm yellow liquid coming down on them fairly quickly if that chart is correct

Used to wash down the new MAGA wonder food "Soylent Green" that everyone will be given as Farming output collapses due to pollution and climate change caused by "Drill baby Drill"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,118 ✭✭✭MrMusician18

Drill baby drill is completely meaningless since most untapped US reserves are in the ground because it's too expensive to extract them.

China is expected to hit peak oil next year so elevated oil prices could be only limited to times surrounding oil shocks.

This is wild speculation on my part, but when I saw the dancing bearded ladies I immediately thought this is an Israeli video. The fact that they look like Islamic freedom fighters means it's unlikely that they were randomly thrown in. The Israelis would know how insulting that would be to the Palestinians. The average US MAGA supporter wouldn't put trans people in a Trump video or would edit them out. It looks like a video developed by Israelis in the hope that Trump would circulate it once his attention was drawn to it. Then Trump, being Trump, couldn't resist posting it to troll and antagonise his opponents in the US, not realising he was being manipulated to deliver the deepest of Israeli insults to the Palestinians.

At one point there's a group of bearded men belly dancing in traditional female belly dancing garb. I'm assuming whoever made it spent as little time as possible.

Or trump is in favor of trans rights.
