Apartments in Larch Hill, Santry, Dublin

    Hi All,

I recently went on sales agreed on an apartment in The Square Larch Hill. I'm still in the process and I was hoping to get some inside-information here. Are there any apartment owners or tenants that are living in the same estate or apartment block over there that can share any inside information?

I've been hearing a lot of fire-safety related problems and anecdotal stories in Dublin and wanted to check if Larch Hill is facing something similar.

Any significant problems that are pending that haven't been address? Are there notice and warnings raised recently? How is the management company responding to upkeeps and concerns? (Ex: ) Can you change the windows to make for better insulation? I would appreciate any kinds of feedback whether good or bad.

    Hi Tynanma,

Thank you so much for confirming this. This gives me a peace of mind. The only issue I have now is that my own solicitor is obsessing over this and won't let it go.

    Sincerely,

    Lea

    Hi Tynanma,

Just wanted to follow-up with you. Did your surveyor flag any fire safety non-compliance issues with you during the process?

hi Lea . It was noted that any previous fire issues had been addressed . That was my understanding . You should have neen given a copy of the previous AGM ? That details everything you would need to know

    Hi Tynanma,

Yes, I have read the AGM minutes. It does look like everything is in order. Thanks for sharing your information with me. It is really helpful.

I am putting my apartment up for sale there. I have been there for 10 years and work locally. Great place to live. You get some anti social behaviour from time to time but it is managed very well by the management company. It’s a great location.

    Hi runwithme,

Thank you for sharing this. I'm now on the tailend of the sale and hoping to have it close soon.

Out of curiosity, how come your putting apartment for sale there?

    Sincerely,

    Lea

I lived there for several years and still own a place there. I moved out to be closer to work.

It's a great place to live, the OMC seem to have a good handle on things and maintenance is good. I've never heard of any fire safety risks or build complaints and I was on the board of directors for several years before I moved out.

WFH will now allow me to move out of Dublin as I want to buyer a bigger place. Best of luck with your purchase and I don’t doubt you will enjoy your time in your new home. Best of luck with it.
