Just saw that the body hamas returned that is supposed to be Shiri Bibas isn't her at all and also is not any of the known hostages. So after toying with the family for more than a year, they still can't let them know what happened to their loved ones. They don't want peace, only to provoke Israel

When the grand mufti of Saudia Arabia is calling out hamas' actions as "a disgrace to islam", they're really losing the room

Apparently Hamas have sent back the wrong body of the mother of the children that died ,big fook up here as according to Hamas, they all died together in an air strike, but could also be a ruse like the bomb attack on empty buses tonight, and the Israeli army are going in big time to the west bank, hi

Yeah probably hard to manage these things when the IDF have turned Gaza into a demolition site, how did the IDF know there were no hostages in the buildings they targeted?

"According to local media, one of the unexploded devices, weighing 5kg, carried a message saying "Revenge from Tulkarem" - referring to a recent Israeli military counter-terrorism operation in the West Bank.

In response to the incidents in Bat Yam, Defence Minister Israel Katz said he had instructed the military to "increase the intensity" of activity in refugee camps in the West Bank"

    Well isn't that handy

Claims other people are gaslighting. Includes massive strawman in same post. It's so silly.

More like its probably hard to manage these things when some hostages aren't being held by hamas at all but regular locals who decided to go and do a bit of jew killing and to take some women and children while they were at it.

Initial forensic examination of the children's bodies indicates that they were murdered around a month after being taken and not killed in an air strike as hamas claimed. I suppose it's possible that hamas don't know what happened to Shiri and were duped by the captors, but I can't help but think this is just more psychological warfare. They also locked the coffins and gave keys which didn't work.

If there was any thought that there was any honour in Hamas, its gone now I think for anyone outside looking in. A total disgust of an organisation. Surely there are palastenians on their side and capable of joining in the blood fest, just as there are Israelis capable of same on the israeli side.

But too many children and innocent people have died in Gaza and total destruction and carpet bombing of a country and its people has no justification either. Israel has engaged in a total annihilation response to the Hamas attack, and that can't be justified in any version of events, any more than any Hamas or Palestinian atrocity.

Depends what kinda Zionist I suppose.

If it's the type who believes their homeland exists within the current recognized borders of Israel, something every country have to adhere to, then I'd be pro Zionist too.

If it's the type to think they have the God given right to ethnically cleanse the region and to take over another country and violently claim land that isn't their own, then not so much.

Unfortunately, the latter group seems to be gaining more power in Israel

I said he is either deluded or a zionist… You posted a random screenshot of some random person swearing and probably wishing ill will on a lot of people.

Once more calling out the vile acts of the Israeli regime is not support for Hamas. Why do people automatically think you need to be on one team or the other? Its a bizarre world that many have slipped into where they must automatically conclude one side is in the right because they dont like what the other side is doing

It's funny, here's former Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh meeting with members of Neturei Karta back in 2009.

Pretty unusual for the (former) leader of an Islamic Terrorist organization to be meeting with Jews, all of which he wanted to kill right?

SF never lose an opportunity to grab a headline. Their objection to meeting Trump is apparently in protest against US policy on Gaza. Fair enough, but I wish they had the courage, if they are so principled, to include the betrayal of Ukraine in their objections. https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2025/0221/1498036-sinn-fein-us/

After a few days of controversy the BBC finally pulled a documentary from their iPlayer which passed of children as 'ordinary Gazan civilians' when if fact they were the sons of Hamas terrorists.

    Explainer : https://twitter.com/mishtal/status/1892868424268660934

To be fair to the BBC it would be hard to find a child in Gaza that isn't related to a Hamas terrorist.

A child is an innocent civilian no matter who their parents are. It's pretty dark that a documentary is pulled for this reason. If it is telling lies only then should it be pulled.

Very true, a child is an innocent civilian no matter who their parents are.

However, that child is also a victim of their parents if they have been enlisted as a child soldier in a terrorist organisation. The responsibility for that lies with their parents or the terrorist organisation if they are an orphan or estranged from their family.

I agree with you and if a documentary leaves out the fact that children have been abused by their parents and the terrorist organisation to be placed in danger through recruitment as child soldiers, then it is telling lies and should be pulled.

Your "if"s are are doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

    Weasel words.

There is no suggestion anywhere the child is a child soldier or they are abused by their parents so I'm not why that is being suggested. Hopefully the BBC can republish the documentary with another narrator.

Oh there are posters who will attempt to justify it. Never you fear.

I am not blaming any victim here. I am sympathising with the children forced into warfare by the evils of Hamas. Are you suggesting that Hamas are victims? Or that parents that allow their children to become child soldiers are victims?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,253 ✭✭✭Bishop of hope

There's an interesting piece on it here.

No suggestion of mass brigades of child soldiers, but claims idf forces have used palestine children as human shields and tried to recruit them as spy's. Also claims Hamas and other terrorist organisations have used them on occasion as lookouts and couriers at least.

So what exactly are these child soldiers doing? Are they patrolling Gaza in their fatigues carrying rocket launchers or kalishnikovs? Perhaps they're booting around in their battle tanks or perhaps flying an F16 or Apache attack helicopter along the coast? Maybe they're snipers hauling their M24s around the rooftops?

Shin Bet Arrests Two Israelis Suspected of Involvement in Tel Aviv Suburbs Bus Bombs

The two suspects were detained following the Shin Bet's initial investigation into the incident which occurred on Thursday night in Bat Yam and Holon

Do you believe children are fair game for the ole slaughter as long as they are children of people you do not like?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,706 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

Why do people automatically think you need to be on one team or the other?

Because that's what it comes down to for some people. That's what EVERYTHING comes down to for some people.

They pick a team and will be prepared to die on any hill they find no matter how ridiculous or hypocritical it is.

The online world on exacerbates that.

2 Israelis arrested on suspicion of driving the suspects to plant the bombs, could be Uber drivers for all we know. A Palestinian who is in Israel illegally was also arrested. They also say there is evidence of iranian involvement. You've already written it off as a big Jewish conspiracy though.
