    ¡arriba, arriba! ¡andale, andale!

Should really have been something by the Walrus of Love himself, Barry White.., but I think it's Billy Ocean, which is also quite appropriate!

Great ad, and harks back to that walrus hijacking boats a few years ago.

I wouldn't trust him, we all know what the smooth talker did to the poor oysters in 'Alice's adventures in Wonderland'. Still, that book and Disney probably colours all our perceptions of a Walrus to this day, rather than the David Attenborough Tusk fighting version. Alice in Wonderland, a great read for child or adult. Brillig book.

i dont know was this covered before i didnt read back but,

" Are Yas watching the rugby says oul mr brennan" . well my answer to that is no mr brennan and the last time you showed interested in sport was 30 years ago before jack charlton retired , and you were supposed to be old then …( what bloody age is he now)

it looks like oul mr brennan is selling "todays fairweather supporters bread today " by the looks of things !!

There is an ad for concern at the moment of a group of people speaking Ill of a dead man.

    Horrible stuff

I detest that Ad, the acting is dreadful too, talk about bad taste.

May have been posted before, but hate those stupid ads with the upside down mouths on the forehead. They’d put me off buying that brand - if I chewed gum.

Brillig book? As in a book to read at about 4pm in the afternoon?

Banish Boomerang Smells. Seriously, who does that happen to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,638 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

The pongy woman on the train with the curly hair is in loads of ads just lately.

That horrible Lotto ad where the smug guy says with a grin "well, it was seven million."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 807 ✭✭✭Breaston Plants

But he won the " Loddo".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,131 ✭✭✭Radio5

Shouty ad for some type of car featuring Queen Victoria (aka the Famine Queen) and a slogan something like 'there is no second place' . Complete crap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,367 ✭✭✭deezell

What's that even about? And yer man in the 'Loddo' ad was brutal as an IT nerd in the otherwise enjoyable 'Hidden Assets' series. They should have killed him off, with a Virus, instead of shooting the excellent Wouter Hendrickx in the head.

Corsodyl ad that starts with two women screaming for about 5 seconds (but feels like 30 seconds) What kind of stupid fool came up with that. Irritating beyond belief.

Rathmines glass. So busy being "inclusive" and battling gender stereotypes, the girl loses the customer

I'm involved with local rugby and it's brilliant

But 'official' Ireland's love in with rugby would make you sick

Much as I loved playing it, coaching kids and club involvement back in my day, I was never too taken with the international events and the scramble for tickets by the wannabes. Last big match I attended in the aviva I noticed the exclusive area behind the benches remaining empty until well into the second half, whereon a load of WAGs and kids tottered in on their heels, with zero interest in the game. I had moved from my shite seat during the interval and crashed into this paddock. Had to shift a few seats but stayed put, still plenty of seats for those who probably stayed up in the corporate bar. I see vast amounts of tickets for the Ireland all Blacks match next November in Chicago already on the official Ticketmaster tout site, the 'verified resale'. They only went on general sale yesterday.

The ad where women are encouraged to leave their abusive partners. Its the music I don't like, it feels very out of place, like it would be better in say a Lucozade advert maybe not one about a very depressing situation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 360 ✭✭Auld Jim Halpin

    Focus Brendan, focus!

    😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣

    Feck off!

That Lucozade Ad with the football and the pitch painting wally's, the fecking music goes through me!

(Does anyone drink original Lucozade since they stopped with the real sugar)

There are a couple of really awful ads for Bord Gais with families on a sofa arguing about energy usage. Featuring terrible sound, something that is becoming typical of your average Irish ad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 8,367 ✭✭✭deezell

Like families sit in front of the telly discussing energy, they'd be too absorbed with 'love Island' or the Like. In the past maybe you'd hear a shout up the stairs, 'Turn off the immersion!'.

Have to say it might be as I am getting older, and my tastes more refined, I find I can only drink either Coke or Ginger Ale and I don't think either of them are the same as they were before the sugar tax.

Britvic had largely ruined Club before the tax, but had a bottle yesterday and the after effect was like after eating the dib dab sugar powder on its own.

Perhaps these drinks were always this bad.

There are two ads annoying me at the moment but as I am getting older I am more forgetful also !

    ______

In the end they were just greedy, they all knew one another and knew what to expect more money for no return, it was a secure cash flow, but in fairness they looked for what they wanted and fair dues to them for that, and wouldn't you be doing the same!

Just one more thing .... when did they return that car
