Dunnes staff get 22% of car spaces - how much do the other business staff get?! How will they police the no car spaces for students/tourists?

Went past earlier, ~50% carpark cordoned off with metal barriers

Divillys closed and gone, Evergreen going now too, loss of parking is a disaster for the shops during construction which will take a year.

Heard on the radio when they surveyed the car park it was in 2021 during covid (everyone told not to leave their house) so of course there would be empty car park spaces 🤷🤷

That would have been very clever.

i think a good example of that is the galway shopping center….. that was supposed to be re developed but went down the drain when the objections from those on site today.

Thanks. I did not know they were there. Only problem is parking. I can't just stop and pop in. Another poster mentioned Mortons in Salthill. I had always thought there was a pharmacy there. Will give it a go.

There was also a butcher in tne Dunnes Stores complex on Headford Road but it came and went surprisingly quickly.

Unfortunately Morton's in Salthill is also on the market, so may not be there much longer!

The three shopping centres in Westside + Terryland + Galway SC Headford road, all seem too low density to me.

Youre talking about Terryland Retail Park, he's talking about Dunnes Terryland. You then mention Briarhill which he doesn't and Corrib Court doesn't exist.

plans were in place to re develop the GSC, but Pat put a stop to that and possibly Tesco. Majority of tenants are stuck on yearly leases, in the event they get all on board.
