Pronunciation of TG4

I've noticed 1 or 2 TG4 announcers pronouncing 4 a bit like "cahis". Is this from a particular part of the country? Only ever heard an r sound at the end, in school.

R Caol /SlenderR.. is quite buzzy in galway or mayo dialects.

Every dialect has an R caol .. donegal has 2. But the connaught ones are extra buzzy.

You have a good ear. ;)

All consanants are slender or broad in irish. Plus the clusters.

0.52 He says aire. That is your R caol. :)

Same way t can be tz or tuh .. D can be Dz or Duh in Irish. R can the Rolled broad R .. or below.
