I have an Aritech CS350 installed. It's connected by wires to windows and doors both upstairs and downstairs, and there is a control panel downstairs which shows some basic functions. That’s also where the arm code is written. There is power going to to the alarm, but it won’t arm; there is a code “open zone 05”. I think that means there is a faulty sensor. I tried to “force on” the alarm and “inhibit” the faulty zone as per the control panel instructions, but it just reads “not allowed”. I took a cover off one of the window sensors and the alarm did trigger; the text “tamper” appeared on the control panel.

Can anyone provide any insight here? I’m totally new to this sort of thing.

edit: I tried the engineer code 1278 and it worked. I've no idea what I can do with this though.
