There seems to be rise on cars getting broken into and antisocial behavior in our estate, and am thinking of getting a wired video doorbell. My initial thoughts were a Ring doorbell, but they seem to require a monthly subscription, which I want to avoid if possible. Any recommendations?

I got blink, easy set up, and I don't have a subscription, you need to buy a memory stick to record videos now. 10 euro memory stick does the job

I got an Arlo hard wired and linked to a separate bell by WiFi (or is it Bluetooth?). It comes with a 3 month subscription trial. Just ignore after the 3 months.

Arlo is now owned by Verisure along with their stupid adverts which have now fortunately ceased.

i have installed recently a Hikvision DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) Cost 116e from AliExpress. Used in conjunction with A NVR and POE switch. Sends notifications, dials phone… Also managed to get it to work with original door chimes..
