Even if you use that figure, half of that crowd were from Armagh and why should they not be allowed go this year also? What is the message here, when it doesn't suit you are not welcome, but we will running ads to be try to get you to attend when it suits us?

The only reason for arguing for home venue is that home fans can go, but Antrim people will not bother.

There are few enough championship matches every year without locking supporters out of games they want to attend.

There has to be a minimum capacity requirement for championship matches and the competition rules recognise this.

Isn't a problem that the 'minimum capacity' floats downwards/upwards depending on the opposition, their season ticket sale numbers and expected demand? A fixed and reasonable minimum capacity would be better, that way counties know exactly what they have to provide to be guaranteed home fixtures for the next X years. And if Kildare or Antrim have a home L16/L12 Championship tie against Dublin or Mayo, then so be it. One-game refunds to season ticket holders who miss out.

Ultimately there's 2 contrasting viewpoints on the debate - 'play it where everyone who wants to watch it can attend' v 'let drawn home advantage be sacrosanct'. Both sides have a case.

A lot of "what if's", speculation etc. being written about the Antrim v Armagh game. I would imagine what they will do is what they do in the case of when the Connacht counties travel to NYC or London - the season ticket does not count/work for those games and they will refer to the small print in the T&C of the season ticket which gives them an out to not offer it for games where capacity is limited for whatever reason.

Either that or Antrim will take a pay out from a bigger gate and the game will be moved to a bigger venue. It's all about not showing your hand until the last possible moment. Why would you concede home advantage straight away without trying to get something out of it? Anyway, just relax folks, it'll all play itself out in due course! 🙂

Exactly. The GAA should not be turning away people, especially turning away people who have been to other games in the year and have paid in advance through their season ticket.

Fair play to Antrim if they get their way.

Ulster/Antrim GAA need to cop on and build a ground they can afford, look at what's happening in Cork FFS. Croke Park is far too empty most of the time.

In future, maybe Belfast can have a multi-sport arena but we're some way off that day.

Game to be played in Antrim as I said all along. Fair play to them for standing up for themselves

Will be a great occasion for Antrim Football (The Hurlers have had some fine results in Corrigan the last few years)

Yes, great to stand up for yourself and ensure that 10,000 people cannot attend.

What happens when they don't like the location of the semi final?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭harryharry25

Im sure if they are drawn at home for a semi final and they are on it they will be looking it played at home.

If the Ulster GAA don't want this to happen, they need to stop having draws where the first team out is at home

An equitable solution would have been simply to say that the Antrim game would be in a neutral venue, whoever came out first.

The Ulster council couldn't run a pissup in a brewery.

Am I right in saying the league finals are no longer included for free ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78 ✭✭Tom Thumbless

I know I went to the final in 2022 as a Limerick season ticket holder but can't remember whether I paid for it or not

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,252 ✭✭✭diceyreilly

Will the majority of the crowd for Antrim v Armagh in Corrigan Park be Armagh season ticket holders? It's hard to see how they are going to manage it satisfactorily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,252 ✭✭✭diceyreilly

Have 5 season tickets for Dublin.

It says you need to purchase 6 championship tickets to qualify for AI tickets should your county get there.

Myself and my missus can’t make the 1st game. Other 3 will be going. Its fine not to buy.

What if the other 3 can’t make the next game. Is there any way to differentiate on who owns what ticket.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,279 ✭✭✭Charles Babbage

They are not going to manage it satisfactorily, it is only a question of who they are going to shaft. They may shaft all the season ticket holders, as it would be hard to shaft half of them on any reasonable basis.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,201 ✭✭✭HBC08

They could do like they did at all ireland final 2021.Capacity was 40k so Tyrone season tickets holders got their tickets, Mayo season ticket holders didn't get theirs.

Totally shafted because one team had a bigger support (and season tickets) than the other.

As mental as it sounds, this actually happened and there is precedent.

    1st year season ticket holder.

I don't see tickets available to buy in my Ticketmaster account for the April 6th Donegal v Derry game.

    Have I missed out..?? 🤔

    Ignore, found it..

Still no sign of the Limerick hurling tickets being available on the season ticket account. Going on general sale on Wednesday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 857 ✭✭✭C4000

Just checked back on last year, it was the day before general sale that the season ticket allocations were available, so possibly up tomorrow.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭me89

First year with season ticket, I see kilkenny tickets on general sale but nothing on my season ticket, i have 3 tickets on my profile if i go to buy tickets it has a limit of 2. do they come out later for season tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 857 ✭✭✭C4000

Youll get an email saying that tickets are available through the season ticket website, should be in the next day or so. If you purchase tickets separately via the regular ticketmaster gaa site they won't be linked to your season ticket.

Should we get emails today saying our tickets are available? For Munster Hurling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 857 ✭✭✭C4000

    Just got this from them:

"Please be advised that you will receive a detailed email once your match tickets become available through your season ticket account. Your tickets are part of a separate allocation from the public sale, and only season ticket holders have access to purchase them.

We will be sending further details in the coming days on how to secure your match tickets via your season ticket account"

    Munster championship tickets now available.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 78 ✭✭Tom Thumbless

Anyone else disappointed with the tickets in the gaelic grounds.

I thought they would be in the Mackey Stand.

The open stand is no good on a wet day
