Outside looking in? I get that people were concerned or worried. The judgement from (his) friends and family was really tough for him tbh and definitely contributed to it ending (along with his core belief that I'd want kids and he didn't - but no I really didn't 😅)

I think there's so much less stigma of "older woman/younger guy" nowadays which is probably a big part of that.

The seven year rule makes a lot of sense: divide the age of the older person by 2 and add 7. That's the minimum age of anyone they should be dating.

Consenting adults are each to their own and entitled to date anyone they want. Where it might get to become problem might be if say a 30 year old woman is dating an older man and she's getting to the stage where she might want to start a family. He might not be so keen due to his age.
