I think that is a bit of a stretch....Linda Martin was like an aunt singing karaoke after being on a week long bender...

    Emmy vocals were good.

The Late Late Show Eurosong 2025 couldn’t be ignored—believe me, I tried. By the end of it all, I needed a stiff drink and possibly an exorcism.First up was Run into the Night by a brother-sister duo who looked like they’d escaped from a medieval tapestry. Armed with a violin and what I can only assume were stolen hotel bedsheets, they gave us musical taxidermy—technically still standing, but completely dead inside.Next was Powerplay by Bobbi Arlo, who arrived wearing what can best be described as bulletproof haute couture, possibly in anticipation of the audience’s reaction. It had straps, buckles, and things hanging off it like a cyberpunk IKEA flat-pack that had been badly assembled. The song? That was rubbish. Then came Fire by Reylta, who brought out a literal bush (I assume for dramatic effect) and backing singers who looked like budget Star Wars droids, thanks to the DIY waste-paper baskets on their heads. The choreography was about as natural as a cow on roller skates, and the song made me wish for an actual fire alarm to go off.Samantha Mumba then graced the stage, dressed like she had just emerged from a two-decade-long hibernation, sans bra. The tension in the room wasn’t from the song—it was from everyone nervously waiting to see if gravity would claim its final victory.Next, we had Growth by Niyl, a man bravely attempting to redefine fashion distress. Wearing what seemed to be a fishing net and a horse bit, he looked like a medieval knight who lost a fight with a hair net. His backup dancers—bless them—had all the grace of a family of hippos trying ice skating for the first time. Finally, Laika Party arrived from Norway to deliver a techno anthem that sounded like it had been generated by a 12-year-old on their iPhone. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a squeaky dog toy fronted a rave, well, wonder no more. Despite being absolute aural sewage, it’s probably going to win.

    11 years ago. 2014.

Eoghan Quigg won with 'The Movie Song'. Quirky tune.

going by the pole here, I’ve put my life savings on Emmy.

Emmy was the best performance comfortably, standard wasn't very high.

Don't think Emmy's song is unique or interesting enough to be a major contender though.

Ryan Tubridy would be the first person I would call upon to break up a fight.

    Yes Donal, joking aside.

No really, Donal…no jokes. No opinion. No speaking…at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,378 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Don't disagree, Emmy and Bobbi Arlo decent chance of the final which is honestly what I am usually happy with as a Eurovision fan.
