    Hi All

The battery/charging port on my Fenix 6s pro seems to have a critical failure. Freezes any time a charging cable is connected and when I do have it on, the battery drains from full to empty in 3 hours.

It is 2.5 years old and Garmin support did not offer a repair option or replacement when I contacted them. The 6 series is retired so they only offered a small discount on one of the new ones. I know they don't have to do anything after 2 years but I expected something for such an expensive device that was only used when exercising.

Is there anywhere that offers a repair service in Dublin or elsewhere in the country?

    That's the warranty.

Afaik, for expensive items (such as TVs etc) the expected lifetime of the item is usually a lot longer than the warranty period. 6 years plus for a TV is a reasonable expectation on the part of the consumer.

The SCC would probably rule in your favour in the case of your watch. Odds are Garmin would settle before the case, by either a refund or a new watch.

Research it anyway. Other posters may advise further.

don’t you have to prove a manufacturing defect for this to be successful?

And if you did win any payout with be less the 3 years of use the OP had?
