@GAA_2025 His content pops up on my socials shared by others, I usually don't go seeking him out. But enjoy his content for a laugh now and then. I don't follow him. I only went looking on his tiktok profile for his 'Musk Salute' to share the content here last night. Which I saw it on Bluesky!

I wonder how much the "House Band" get paid. They perform for about two mins each week.

Pity Dermot Bannon couldn't make it, just to round off the guest list….🙄

Needs more Marys or maybe a Maria.

    Pretty poor line-up

That must be one of the worst line ups in the history of the LLS. Think this could be the third time he has had MM on, in his tenure.

    Communication was the greatest fatality

Agreed, quite a boring lineup, and with MMc on yet again, possibly to speak about multi genderism, in the wake of Trumps gender comments? And Pat Shortt too, God help me 😂

Taking a glass of red for the thread - almost made the full dry Jan - but made an exception to get past the late late

Not sure about covid jokes - particularly from RTE

Sigur Ros must be millionaires at this point from this song, which is called the Sporting Achievement Montage Song.

Is the ability to grow a decent beard a pre-requisite for endurance events?

Mary Mcaleese was on recent enough - was a good president , does some great work.

But - I just think her and Mary Robinson have taken on almost too big a mother figure role of Ireland or something - feels a bit detached , unnatural , out of touch or something ?

Particularly Robinson flying all over the world to tell us about the climate emergency

Yes - no time for Mach 5 - and you safe about 25 euro a go for Mach 5 that go blunt after 1 shave these days. Bring back the old days when good products lasted -

I know the show remains on the rocks (excuse the pun) - but paddy remains a decent skin , good bloke - and is god when natural , with human stories - more real and genuine , the big downfall of the show is not on him , life and guests and social media and tv have moved on.

    Hardy men. Fair play.

Am I missing something, or wouldn't it be far easier and safer to have the race in the summertime, and not in December/January when the weather is going to be p1ss poor? 🤨

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,725 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

It does look a bit gay - lol , but fair play

Are people who do mad endurance things - got some sort of trauma in them ?

If that is the actual reason for this one.

It would be less painful for you to watch your countrymen getting destroyed by France currently.

Jaysus - sad stuff - but fair play .

Selfishness in a way as well.

Seen a documentary where a fella does mountaineering, pile of different events like that. Can't sit still- embarks on a cross-Atlantic row with a toddler at home.

    450,000 Euro, fair play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,725 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

Paddy is excellent at the human stories. Real genuine bloke.

These projects are vain to me. I mean you something you want to do and say it is for charity so the thing is paid for. They did what is a once in a lifetime thing that will have been paid for from the charity.

Buy a or a few bicycles and cycle up and down the country and stay in people's homes free on the way.

Your obviously technically right - but terrible cynical

The community effort , solidarity , healing process , connection is all part of it too. If it helps the person fair enough and there is no harm intended and is done with only good intent 95 % of the time

Now when you are visiting someone in a hospital and there is a charity for the hospital and we are sending no end of billions into health - or you are collecting for a scanner for a hospital in one of the wealthiest countries in Europe - what on earth is that about. The entire charity sector is very odd.

Mary McA appears a little more bloated everytime I see her. Thyroid or goitre problem maybe.
