    Poles are rotting from the moment they're put in, even if they're well treated with tarry preservative beforehand. They often rot away above the groundline.

    As I mentioned yesterday, the previous inspections and maintenance routines seem to have been cut back in the last decade or so.

    i'd be fairly sure, from listening to him, a few trees at the perimeter snapped in half and he really couldn't be arsed going in any further to see what the damage is
