Don't worry he's the only player in the world who still wears a gumshield!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,839 ✭✭✭facehugger99

Good job Endo has the gum shield.

    That was 100% a red.

Good thing he wears a gum shield.

The guy is tough as nails.

    19 goals/assists for Gakpo now.

They are very very good numbers.

    Very good numbers

And still less than HALF of Salah's this season 😆

A goal for the away fans, can't deny them that considering how much they suffer and yet support their team

Some match we have next weekend against Bournemouth. 5 up now!

Been a bit disjointed since the subs but that's fine, the game's already won I'm happy to get a little worse to give some players a rest.

Good afternoon, relaxed game, players got rest, and another weekend where 2nd Place doesn't get any closer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,407 ✭✭✭✭noodler

Maybe it is because I had to watch the Arsenal game rather than ours but I'm a little sickened they way that panned out.

Except his goal celebration, I hate his salute. Needs to change it imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,407 ✭✭✭✭noodler

So that's Arsenal, City and Forest they've beaten at home

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,639 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Job done, no one injured. Arsenal face City next week, City have no issues in scoring, 22 scored in last 5 games, Arsenal struggle to get even 1, City do let leads go, but can Arsenal score 2 if City get even 1 . I think City beat them, Bournemouth is tough game for us too, a draw would be fine, they're 6th, ahead of City, level with Chelsea, 1pt of Newcastle, 4 off Forest, a draw would be fine.

Another 3 points in the bag on to a tough game next weekend against Bournemouth scoring for fun lately,I know I've forgotten the midweek game but I kind of see that as a dead rubber compared too next Saturdays game, anyway sit back and relax for the evening see what city Chelsea game brings

    Very comfortable win.

Next week will be very interesting given the fixtures and form of the teams.

I bite your hand off for a draw, followed by a draw in the City Arsenal game if offered now...

We have the much harder fixture next week. Would take an unbelievable performance to win.

It's kinda of strange for this time of the year, but our biggest worry for next weekend is we could be undercooked going into it. If you include Wednesday game coming up, we will have had 3 almost preseason level of intensity games leading up to it. Ipswich were absolutely woeful today, they didn't offer a thing.

Happy to have 3 more points on the board.

no it wouldn’t you’d swear we were massive outsiders Liverpool are 4/6 to win 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,566 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

Yes it would, last 2 games they've battered Newcastle 4 1 away and NF 5 0 at home. They are arguably the form team in the league right now.

Liverpool on course for it's highest revenue ever this season, Billion dollars very likely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,530 ✭✭✭hadepsx

And yet still dragging their heels regarding contracts for important players, and not bringing in much needed reinforcements 🙄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,967 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

At the summit in both the PL & CL and currently has a squad that has two good players for every position but there's guys still having a go at the owners.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,530 ✭✭✭hadepsx

    "currently"

Take the blinkers off, a few bad injuries to key players will see that summit fall. Do you not think lb is a weakness in the team. How many times in the past where LFC needed good reinforcements at the business end of the season to get them over the line, yet the owners didn't try for better. As an example, the season where LFC was forced to put Henderson and fab into defence really shat on any potential silverware.

The owners have a stench of the Glaser's about them. Where's all this huge revenue going?

Very strange take on the current status.

Yes, Fab and Henderson were asked to cover what they simply could not do, so I agree completely with that. A lot of that was Klopp and his loyalty to players which Henderson burned in my opinion.

The team is likely at the end of a cycle and yes it needs new blood. The whole back line is paramount.

But, buying for the sake of buying never works. Teams rarely want to release anyone mid season, especially good ones. We are no different. So don't buy unless it makes sense, financially and for the team.

The owners are not remotely like the Glasers. Although it's club money, they could have stripped assets and cash as the Glasers did, but, they invested in the stadium, they invested in proven players that the manager wanted, and invested in the academy, and invested in the training facilities. They have balanced the books as would be expected in a normally functioning business. Not what the Glasers did and any Utd fan would point that out.

The only thing that stopped a league domination in those years is City. And you have to ask how they did that and ask yourself was it fair ? I don't believe it was and the 115 charges held against them should be proof. I don't believe they will be held to account for the sake of the FA and the league and the current splurge is proof for me, but that is my opinion.

As a club, we were rock bottom, destroyed by Hicks and co financially. The team was a mess and we had zero confidence as a a team or a fan base. Much like Utd currently. Staring at bankruptcy was a genuine possibility regardless of size of fan base.

FSG provided the basis to turn it all around. We cannot credit them with the team position as some of that is luck and management of the team but certainly they are due credit for the club position financially. Without that, there is no structure for the management of the team. That was their job and they have done exactly that. I can't accept that FSG is even remotely like the Glasers and I hope your post is just drink talking.

Obviously books can be modified a bit, but iirc it was around 15 million profit last year,, generally investing in improving future revenues by investing in the stadium, improvement in future prospects for young players by having new training grounds,, absolutely disgusting behaviour..…
