Difficulty renewing Irish passport online

    Hi,

    So I tried to renew my Irish Passport through the online portal tonight with valid photo ID but I've been stuck on the screen with this message for an hour and a half.

    Is there specific times that would be recommended for applying online or would I be better doing it the old fashioned way via post?

    We renewed 2 online last week. No issues.

    Yes I did click that link and it was still loading.

    I exited because I need to get some sleep but I'll be really frustrated if I have to wait all day for it to load tomorrow.

    Possibly due to the power outages after the storm.

    What sort of connection are you using ?

    Thanks for the advice.

    I was trying this on my broadband.

    Glad to say today I completed the application. Relieved as I'll be leaving the country early March so should have my new passport just in time.
