It's breathtaking isn't it. Do any of them cast their minds back even a year and think 'would I have defended Nazi salutes back then?'. It's very possible Musk is not a fascist, that he's trolling both his simps and Trump. Watching them defend the indefensible and also reminding the proven rapist who's the actual boss. Forcing Tiny and his team to comment on Nazi salutes on his big day. It's actually hilarious in a lot of ways.

With regards Musk's salute, I refer to the "Rule of Goats"

The Rule of Goats says that self-awareness or irony doesn't change public perception. If you f*ck a goat, even if you say it's for the lulz or to prove a larger point, you're still a goat-f*cker.

Musk stood on that stage, as part of the Presidential Inauguration event, and performed an action, twice, that is so unmistakably identifable as a Nazi salute. Even if he was doing it to troll (bearing in mind that even with his "My heart goes out to you" comment it is not a physical action which comes naturally), he still did the action.

There is no way in hell someone does that action, at that type of event, in that political climate, without knowing how it would look.

You do realise the Roman salute was appropriated by Mussolini and his Fascist party and then adapted by the NSDAP, dont you? Fascists used a lot of Roman symbolism, including the fasces and the salute. People really shouldn't excuse a person who sides with the AfD and makes the Fuhrer seig in public.

I’m happy to say my true colours are calling out that someone who promotes and repeats fascist rhetoric and uses fascist gestures while addressing millions is indeed a fascist.

They're all acutely conscious of what they're saying and doing and don't care of the negative press, and why would they? They won. But the fact that they're doing this so brazenly suggests either very dark motives at the individual level or it's indicative of a narrative that is oozing out of the administration. Musk doesn't care about Miller effectively saying he's not welcome, he's inside the circle, the message can still go out.

This whole situation really makes me appreciate what an amazing performer Celine Dion is.

The amount of time she's sung the line "My heart will go on" without throwing up what looks like a Nazi salute, is astonishing. She must have practiced it a lot. Musk said "My heart goes out to you" and did the salute two or three times.

This is such a weak effort at some sort of bullshit plausible deniability. What Musk did was not off the cuff, it was planned, and that line was also planned. Nevertheless, everyone sees what he actually did: a fascist salute, a powerful and grotesque act. Shameless, and disturbing.
