    friend of mine chanced his arm and asked for his order of merit for his chosen location Friday and got it in an email!
    I’m raging I was waiting til Monday now haha

    I was contacted the week before Xmas and offered a position which I accepted. Starting this week! A real whirlwind. I think they have the info about OOM but for some reason didn't release before Xmas.

    Emailed back on Monday about when the likelihood positions would issue and got nothing

    So I’m thinking probs February now haha

    I thought I was only down for Dublin North but I actually had picked central too, to my delight

    Looking forward to working in town as I had done my time on the south side already and have recently purchased not too far north of the city centre

    This panel is taking a ridiculous amount of time. Hopefully it starts moving soon. It's almost 2 months since the batch 3 results were released.

    I know, I have many friends/colleagues who are on the North Panel and from what we can tell there has been no movement at all there.
    It’s very frustrating when you know there’s so many vacancies going.

    Dublin south seems to be moving I’ve heard of 2 people with location oom 5-10 being offered positions.

    They said a few times to me from HR that there is a 3-4 week backlog with payments.

    Really not good enough but that's the civil service for you.

    I don’t feel like it was a disaster but I know I could have answered some of the questions a lot better than I did because they were all the same standard questions I’d heard of other people being asked. I’m not confident I hit the marks on everything. In an example with a good outcome for everyone they still asked was there anything you would have done differently in that situation. Challenges facing the department in the next 5 years was one that I had to think about. The panel were lovely though. I was worried beforehand that I’d run out of things to say or go blank but the time absolutely flies, the 7 mins per competency feelsl like 2!!
