Has there been an official communication on this issue? Can an administrator give an update? Let users know in a banner maybe?

Ive just recorded my screen to send to Mike, there'll have to be an announcement tomorrow if he's working. Catastrophic tbqfh

First reported on or before the 18th of December and no sign of a fix yet. Mike is most likely quivering in a dark corner at this stage hoping it all just goes away.

Let's look on the bright side - some people pay through the nose for bungee jumping, we get it for free numerous times a day. :pac:

I just look away when the jumping is happening. I can see out of the corner of my eye when it's (finally) finished.

Looking at the jumping screen, or trying to scroll it while it's jumping, is a very bad visual experience.

The last few days, I hadn't initially paid attention, I've had a number of notifications when I bring up boards but there are none, for example 7 this morning but not one new thing to be found

Notifications don’t work on iPhone . On android the scrolling is unusable .plus I signed out to post anonymously and it’s impossible to sign back in . I have my passwords saved to a manager and they don’t work

I have been unable to access the site all day apart from a few minutes here and there. Pages don't load. Progress bar gets to 90% but never finishes.

    Android, opera and Chrome.

    It's very frustrating.

Not sure there's any point posting this, seems the facility to fix these issue isn't there anymore.

Well at least Odhran popped back in today to have a look so it will be interesting if there is any update.

I'm finding pages extremely slow to load on pc and if quoting a post after pressing "post" it takes more than 10 seconds for it to post. It just looks like the post is frozen for that time. Now this again.

    This site can’t be reached

    www.boards.ie unexpectedly closed the connection

The jittery thing is almost certainly caused by the targeted adverts to the right. They seem to be causing the page to jitter by loading. They aren't just JPEGS or GIFs. They are also connecting to their server and until they get all their "targeted to you" data, there is jitter on the boards.ie page.

Clicking the alert icon on iPhone doesn’t show alerts

    not sure if that’s intended

I selected “request desktop page” and it can be clicked but site is unusable on mobile then

it doesn't happen on all pages though, some are way worse. someone said they think it's to do with pages with a lot of quoted posts

I am assuming it would be far too simple to just block adverts?

I've ads blocked & get the jumping on certain threads

    Seriously, Mike?

THE issue. Everyone else knows what the 'issue' is.

    It's the economy page jumping.

I think it is the bouncing jumping, assume that is the big issue for a while, which only gets worse @Boards.ie: Mike is it now over a month of the problem?

Still get it bouncing on the odd post as though it was fixed

I have said multiple times here that when I have some information to share on an issue that I will share it here. On this thread.

I do not have the power to speed up the fix for these issues. I follow up on these issues multiple times a week, multiple times a day sometimes. When I have new information to share then I will share it.

Like this little gem, the text box issue has had a fix applied to it. This is due to hit our site on the next release for Vanilla. This particular issue has been going on for over five months, that's five months of constantly reporting, adding information to the ticket for Vanilla, convincing and proving to them that the issue does exist through posts from this thread ,videos etc… So that's five months to be able to type a word at the beginning of a post and have it appear the way that it was typed.

So lets all work together in a positive, creative and constructive way to fix everything else. Please keep reporting the issues that you see, please keep adding screenshots or short videos of the issue/s that you see and please continue to add supporting information. As the thread title asks, no griping, just bugs.

Have a great Wednesday everyone. Lots of love from behind the scenes!

T thanks for the update Mike. Much appreciated.

BBut can I ask a question if you don't mind. You say that you have to convince and prove to Vanilla that a particular issue exists. Why?

DDo they not believe you? Do they attempt to palm you off? Are they calling us liars? Are they even honouring the terms of whatever contract exists between them and Boards?

IIm not privy to the agreement or contract obviously but as I said before it Looks to me like it's a case of the tail wagging the dog. Also just to be clear this is no reflection on yourself or your efforts.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
