I'm considering at a short break away in early June 4/5 nights and just enquiring if anyone can recommend either of the above cities.

Both look lovely and are steeped in history, which I love, so interested to hear of any preferences boardsies may have.

    Thanks.

Been to both, but Budapest edges it for me personally.

Though if history is your thing, Auschwitz probably will pique your interest.

The wife favours Budapest also. She'll probably have the final day😉

Indeed - happy wife, happy life etc! 😀

If it's a summer break, I'd do Budapest.

Krakow in Winter is particularly picturesque, so I'd opt for a long-weekend there in November / December if feasible.

Beautiful city. Evening cruise along the Danube is a great experience.
