Thought this might be useful. The old Quickpark site is reopening March 10th, flat rate of €11 a day apparently, 5 minute shuttle to the airport

I've just looked for two trips in the summer, it was much cheaper than the official ones for one, but more than "Holiday Blue" for the other

    The website is...

I put the dates in that I am planning to travel in June for 2 weeks holidays. Significantly cheaper than all DAA parking - even holiday blue

Thank you! Just booked for a week in June €70.40, a great deal🤗

Put in my dates for March and it's 20% more expensive than the holiday Blue carpark. And that's with the welcome code.

Be interesting to see what it does to daa prices. Hopefully it will come down more. 15 days in July with discount is 132 so still cheaper for me to get taxi's.

The difference is that the blue car park may aswell be in Wicklow. 😂😂. Ithe Q Park was so much handier

Just saved €60 on a week July compared to the Long Term Red, thanks op!

I wonder if they’ve surfaced the car park, used to be a mare pulling a suitcase with wheels 😆

The buses were more frequent though in q park. It once took me longer to get to the blue car park after landing than it did flying from Heathrow to Dublin.

Yes, the salary is enormous, I understand that, but that doesn't affect my soul.

Hardly any difference in journey time.Def nothing to moan about.Unless you trying travel at peak afternoon bumper time and even then not much diff

of often walk up from Quil park, just 18 minutes to T2

it might be a 5 minute drive difference, but the busses are (were) much more frequent

I wonder will DAA do as they have done before, big discount on blue if you book early, no discount if you book late. They both calculated the price differently so as above either can be cheaper depending on actual booking made.

they area ready advertising the blue car park for €6 a day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

Is blue that bad? Looking at Feb and it's half the price of red.

it’s good to have options and the more the merrier, I used to park in the Clayton but the prices of a stay and parking is now crazy money, I picked up a travelodge for €45 here on bargain alerts and now need to sort 3 weeks parking

From €6 a day sounds good but I will check both and see who’s the cheapest

Blue's grand, just you've probably got to allow half an hour to get from your car to the terminal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,921 ✭✭✭Bummer1234

Exactly this…If you give yourself the time there is nothing wrong with Blue, Im booked in blue at the end of Feb and will just give myself an extra 15/30 mins, To save myself the carry work,I might drop misses and bags at the terminal and just have to bus and walk myself to the airport.

the Blue carpark is grand, Use it 4 or 5 times a year and i've never had to wait more than 5 mins for a bus. Most times there's one there waiting. It only takes 10 or 15 mins longer to the terminal than the Red car park so unless you are in a mad rush save your money.

No. I prefer the blue... drive time is five minutes more than red, if even...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,706 ✭✭✭✭Idbatterim

I prefer blue, because I find the buses, more frequent than red. Also seriously, it's five minutes if even, further away than red. ..

Did a check for some dates in late April (7 days), the Red carpark and the Park2Travel carpark were exactly the same price - competition?!

Blue was cheaper due to the deal mentioned above

Blue is working out at 220 for 2 weeks.

    New place 140.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,706 ✭✭✭✭Idbatterim

Lol! That's competition for you :)

Me and the missus have flights booked for the end of Feb. Flying out on the 22nd of Feb to 2nd March.

Trying to figure out the cost vs convenience of either taking the car or the bus to the airport - we live in Galway city.

    So for the bus costs:

    2h 45min journey

    Bus frequency every 30 min

€15 taxi to Galway coach station (x2)

€74 for bus to T1 (drops right outside T1)

    Total cost: €104

    Car costs:

    2h journey + Blue carpark to T1

Slight wear & tear on the car

    €15 Petrol (x2)

€89 for Blue parking (not sure why this is the cost when it states €6 per day??)

    Tolls ~€10 (x2)

    Total cost: €139

What do people here think is the best option?
