Bit clueless when it comes to PCP so im trying to figure out the best option. Currently have a Dacia Jogger which has just over 1 year left on PCP. I always intended on rolling and going again and perhaps buying the car outright after the second PCP finished. Im very interested in the new Bigster coming out. What must I focus on to get the best deal? What is the dealer likely to try and screw me over on? Any do's and dont's?

Im happy with how the current PCP is going. Never had any issues.

Pay attention to the trade in value of your Jogger against the new car by the dealer. What the dealer allows you for your Jogger less the GFMV (final PCP settlement payment on your Jogger) will be your equity or deposit contribution towards the new car. Shop around various dealers for the best trade in value as you are not tied to the one dealer you bought the Jogger from.

Also get a written breakdown of the deal as dealers are very good at throwing various figures at you that may include hidden addons that you may not want or be aware of such as paint protection or return to invoice insurance, etc.

You can also switch to a different brand. The dealer will just settle the existing PCP balloon payment when they buy the Jogger from you against a new car.

Im going to test drive the Bigster on Friday. Im aiming for the Hybrid 155 version. My current Jogger is a 231 reg with 22k on the clock. Ill post figures when I have them but anyone hazard a guess what the likely offer will be ? Ill be continuing the pcp deal.
