Big time. Dublin football ticket I usually go to one away game a year as got one kid to bring. Even Croker is a good hour on match day for me driving. I was looking at Kerry away but nearest bed was 30k away. Will do Armagh and drive home after it. Saturday night away games not great for kids as midnight getting home for a lot of them for me

If I buy one season ticket, does that allow me to buy more than one match ticket for the All Ireland quarter and semi finals or just one? For example, if I wanted to bring someone with me, would it let me buy them a second one in the seat next to me, or would I have to buy the second one separately, with the risk of them being seated away from me?

No, you can no longer buy additional tickets. Used to be able to but they removed that.

Has anybody had issues when transferring tickets that they only send a screenshot and not something that can be added to the google/apple wallet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,201 ✭✭✭HBC08

The only time this was an issue was at the Club final last year when they trialled the" moving barcode"

Ticketmaster have used this for certain gigs in the last few years. It means the ticket can't be screenshotted and sent in WhatsApp or as an email attachment etc.

They didn't do this for any subsequent games in either league or championship. I hope it stays that way.

If anyone has a spare ticket for Sunday that won't be used. I will gratefully make use of it.

Hopefully it's like last year and they only do it for the club final. Its a pain in the hoop and it's not Taylor Swift or Oasis tickets we're talking about here!

I'm pretty sure they did it for the All Ireland semi-final and final last year.

I have an adult and a child ticket for the Galway v Armagh game free to a good home if anybody wants them - the wee fella is heading away on a school trip so we won't be travelling over. I can email the pdf tickets.

Just checked and TM are using the " moving barcode".

This means you cant screen shot and send in WhatsApp to send tickets to anybody

However there is an option to transfer which doesn't require the receiver to have a TM account. You can just transfer to their email account.

My ticket for the match I’m going to today is saved in my iPhone wallet , a non moving barcode to scan. It’s not showing up in my ticket master app .
I bought a juvenile ticket for the young lad and it’s showing in the Ticketmaster app as a moving barcode ticket .

How do I get my adult season ticket to show up as moving barcode in the app ? Have I done something wrong ? Don’t want drama at the turnstiles later .

    thanks

Only the games in Croke Park have the moving barcode.
All the away games I downloaded are just QR codes

Antrim management and players interview with BBC last night, saying they won't be playing this game if home advantage is taking off them

Rules of the competition are first team drawn out is at home. Manager was asked about amount Armagh season tickets and he said this draw was made before they sold season tickets so anyone buying them would have known Antrim was at home first round

The rules of the competition are subject to a suitable venue being provided. Louth did not play at home last year. This is not a new thing, twenty years ago Armagh reached the All Ireland final twice in the row without having played championship games at home as the Athletic grounds was then half built. The GAA should facilitate people attending games, not allow a situation where players can determine that they want to play on pitch rather than another of the same size. There were 14,336 at the recent Armagh league game, perhaps 9000 Armagh people, these should be welcomed in the championship too. Everyone knew that Armagh had drawn Antrim and that the GAA would move the game to Newry, Derry or Omagh.

If Antrim do not play, that is up to them, the result will be the same, except the GAA will lose hundreds of thousands in revenue.

I guarantee you this game will be in Corrigan Park

From all the social media feedback every single person says Antrim are 100% correct apart from a few from Armagh.

PS it's upto the Ulster Board where the game is on nothing to do with GAA headquarters

Antrim players, manager and county board are on RTE saying when draw was made, they were happy home game and nothing has changed for them

Yeah, the loudmouths on social media should determine what happens.

How many Antrim games did these people attend last year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭harryharry25

Even off the ball reckon it will 100% in Antrim

As somepone pointed out Fermanagh beat Armagh in 2017 and there was only 7000 at it, most of them home Fermanagh fans

Where was all the tens of thousands of Armagh fans then? Teams fans increase when they are winning, unfortunately Antrim havnt had that in a long time

Normally I have no sympathy for counties who let their stadiums go to sht like the Newbridge situation but in this case it's not Antrim's fault
