SPC Wireless Issue

Hi All,

I purchased the SPCW120 for two way wireless and connected it to the second modem slot on the SPC 4320. The GSM modem is in slot one. However the board doesn't seem to recognise it. I tried removing it and reseating it and also placing it in slot one. I also checked and the board is running the latest firmware.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Did you enable the wireless receiver?

Thanks for offering advice. The option to enable it is greyed out. I think it's because it's not detecting the wireless component. Trying to enable it with the panel results in "fault".

I'm inclined to think it's a faulty part.

Are you doing this in full engineer mode, try on the keypad.

What fault is it given?

Thanks Altor, in full engineer mode when I try to enter the wireless on the panel it just says "unavailable".

Im hoping you down powered the system, battery and mains before adding the device.

If so, it may be the unit itself unfortunately.

It was installed in the cabinet before it was even mounted on the wall. I think its just a bad part.
