Just bought a large jar of Heinz tomato ketchup, put it in the cupboard and discovered I'd only bought another one a few weeks ago and forgotten about it.

    Blatant cheating in exams -

Derry woman on News said she prayed to that Nun to get through her exams. How is that fair on everyone else?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Interviewers and debaters who are too stupid to debate fairly so their main tactics are to talk over the other person, shout them down and be constantly changing the subject (usually to a completely unrelated topic) to try and throw them off their stride. I was watching a debate where one person would start making very interesting points and the other idiot was cutting him off every time he got going and not letting him finish. Another annoying habit he had was asking quickfire questions that were really six questions or more in one.

The Premier League, clubs and the FA conspiring with each other to cancel replays in the FA Cup.

Part of the magic and appeal of that tournament was that teams that couldn’t be separated were going to face off again. Team gets a late equaliser, the saying ‘earned a replay‘ was applicable….Fairer too for players and supporters. Saying this as a United fan whose team just beat Arsenal on penos but still.

It is , in the greater scheme of things very trivial but also very annoying . I’m not and ever been a big facebook user . But it’s impossible to turn off the ‘ people you may know ‘ feature . No I don’t know them , and have no intention of sending them friend requests , so please FCUK-OFF

FA Cup is ruined for neutrals, very rare there is a real shock. EPL second teams can hammer most teams. I only pay attention from about the QF/SF's onwards - except for a big match that is on.

The bit that annoys me is the broadcasters still have the neck to crow about "the magic" of the FA Cup. Who do they think that they are codding?

The last second tier team that won the FA Cup was West Ham in 1980. Most of the top level EPL teams don't care about the FA Cup really. Unless they get to the latter stages. And the gap between the EPL teams and the rest is massive. Also the gap between the top 8 EPL and the rest of the EPL is growing as well. The rest don't care really they prefer survival over an FA Cup win. The exception being Wigan over 10 years ago when they won when already relegated.

Basically the FA Cup has no lustre for me as a neutral. It is all the big guns winning it these days Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United. Leicester won in 2021 but was it really big shock? They were doing well at the time. Portsmouth won in 2006 because they spent big, and that was the first time since 1995 that one of the then "big four" had not won the FA Cup.

All replays do is clog up the season on EPL clubs who prefer to target the league or Europe. There is no "magic of the FA Cup" the joy has been gradually sucked out of it. Teams playing reserve sides etc. The FA Cup probably has not been viewed as a big competition since 2000 when Man United withdrew from the competition to play in the Club World Cup. It has never been the same since. Reserve sides etc what kind of competition is that?

There is no "magic of the cup" and those who pretend otherwise are codding themselves. That is my TA.

according to an email from the clothing shop, my jacket was given over to a courier. In this email I got when I bought it I received information it would be delivered today plus a delivery link for me to track it.

I click on the delivery link in the email now but according to the courier, the shipping reference number is valid but they haven’t received the package from the retailer yet. 🙄

So, I am again in a situation I imagine where I’ll be emailing / chasing companies …. 😑. I’m in no way waiting for it but as it’s a courier I need to arrange to be there to sign for it so I’d like to be of the ability to plan my day and week , whatever that day is. Which isn’t really doable if I’m not given the information when it’s arriving 🙄

An extremely trivial annoyance I know but I have to mention people at bus stops who pace left and right like sentry guards while waiting for their bus. They’re exhausting to look at, and even more annoying if they keep pacing in front of me.

A large group of people, (usually from out of town so to speak) gathered around a self service checkout as if they are pulling the lever on a high roller slot machine in Vegas. Can one of you not just organise the scanning and payment, FFS.

Every morning for the past week, I have been getting this notification from Amazon:

    image.png

I have never searched for a hat, never wear a hat, and I'm not a hat person. Why are they trying to behat me? I don't do other 'accessories' either, like gloves or scarves, so I don't know where this is coming from. 🤔

Get in touch with their GDPR section - it's their duty to ensure that the information they hold about you is correct and they must amend it if it isn't, just like you have the right to request such amendment.

A bit like Al Capone and taxes.

A question has been asked in the office. Multiple solutions or alternatives have been offered by various colleagues. This person is STILL talking about the problem. Over and over and over again. I'm not sure if she's expecting a different answer if she keeps asking but I cannot talk about this anymore.

Over the last two weeks there have been work colleagues off sick with this dose going around. Anyone that had pre-booked holidays weren't called in to cover. Can't be touched.

I am the only person off this week, and seemingly a pile have gone sick again. Boss tries to get me in to cover. Fook that.

Trainee manager gave out to me in public because I got some reception messages incorrect. Ta

I don't seem to be appropriately disturbed by this as I said at the outset that I have a worsening memory issue and illegible (even to me) handwriting and they still loudly insisted that I do it. Taaaaaaaaaaaaaa I don't know wtf else they thought would happen!

All of this info is on my application and easily available if they checked ahead of deciding on cover jobs, but their 13-year-old self has decided they know better than professionals!🙄

Not really 13 years old but def too young for this job. Give me patience with infants who think they know things that never even heard of two weeks ago.

My nonverbal sis with dementia has taken to a blanket in a local shop, her bday is next month and the plan is to buy it for her.

The number of other family members who are deciding ahead of the purchase what colour/size/pattern etc she would like. She is well capable of making her own decisions given time and space to do it!

Just bc she can't talk doesn't mean she can't signal decisions/preferences for herself. TTTTTAAAAA

Watching an episode from a 1970s British series, two characters having a game of billiards and I have only a hazy idea of the rules / whats going on. It seems to be subtext to their verbal sparring.

A crime anthology series from 1970 called Confession I stumbled across on youtube.

The episode is called The Fell Sergeant and stars Donald Pleasance.

Somebody moves your car seat and no matter how much you fiddle with it you can't get it back to how it was. It just doesn't feel right.

businesses who offer obscenely good deals to entice new customers, but at the same time are only sending letters to long term customers advising them of contract price hikes…. Situation here where this is 100% verifiable. I’m getting hiked, my cousin, a seriously good low ball deal as a new customer with a tech service provider..

Always amusing how some people shîte on about brand loyalty. I’m yet to encounter a single businesses in this lifetime who is loyal and responsible as to their existing customers ( this scenario another example )but it’s often suggested that the existing customers should be loyal to business…ermmm…. Nope…
