What do you guys think of Timberland boots?

I've been very torn about purchasing these with the last while and unsure of the colour. They'd mainly be worn for casual wear for now. I'm good enough to look after my shoes and I've a few pairs of Chelsea/dressy boots.

Brown Leather boots are always a good look in the winter months. As for Timberland? Not for me. Check on YouTube. There is an American guy who reviews boots. Cuts them in two to see how they are made. Very interesting.

Just checked 'Rose Anvil' is his channel

They're good boots, hard wearing and waterproof. They do tend to run large though so make sure you try on a pair to get your size right. They're also fairly expensive, that model there is €220.

Can't go wrong with a pair of DMs - I got these ones and they are great:

They're a softer leather so you can wear them right away without having to break them in. They are called Crewson. And not as pricey as Timberlands.

I've had several pairs of Docs. Good value, hard wearing and very comfortable.

    Thanks for the replies.

I had a pair of Docs in Primary school and can't say I'm priticular drawn to them.

The dark brown ones are on offer for €167.00 on a website called Footaslum.

When I saw the darker ones I think I liked them but it was months ago.

Current Doc Martens are made in China and not a patch on the old ones unfortunately. Not worth the money anymore. There are great videos on YouTube with guys cutting them in half to check the quality.

The real UK Doc Marten factory now makes Solovair. Have had a few pairs of their boots, they're far better quality and last much much longer.

A couple of years ago I thought I'd up my game and see if there was an even better boot. There is, check out Red Wing Iron Rangers. They're about €400 but are really next level when it comes to quality. Can get them resoled too. They sell them in Genius in Dublin city centre.
