Polestar 3

kinda undermines sales of the polestar 2 which are only starting to arrive in Ireland in July although I would expect there will be no polestar 3s in the country until July 2023 so if you don't have an inclination to wait a year they are probably an ok option although I would prefer to wait a year for an i4 when I am shelling out that sort of money

It seems like a nice looking car, and carwow reviews of the polestar 2 have been favorable so you could expect similar quality from the PS 3.

However..........

most new cars are over priced now, both ICE and Electric. Similar for used.

Thanks. Getting good reviews all round - and having driven one for c. 40 mins I do understand why. The launch of the single motor version might give sales a little bump.

I'm trying to figure out ('guess') what the value of one might be in 3-4 years, how much depreciation it will experience). The best website I can find is fleetnews in the UK with an estimated residual value of 56% in 3 years. Presuming it will be around the same here while recognising that anything could happen to the residual values for a low volume seller.

If this Polestar Ireland PCP example is anything to go by, it looks like a high risk purchase to me. An EX90 would be a safer bet.

Yes, that PCP formula that had some equity built in for next time was the norm. In recent months though some EV owners have ended up with negligible equity at the end of the term.

polestar have a 2024 one which appears to be a pre reg for 85k on Carzone.
Looks to have every pack on it so I guess at least 20k plus saving on new.
