    Hello,

I have accumulated several modems/routers from previous broadband suppliers.

I am wondering have they any value, could I sell them?

    (1) Eircom Zyxel F1000 modem

    (2) Vodfaone Gigabox SHG3000

    (3) Fritzbox 7530

I am grateful for any comments.

Are these devices somehow locked to my account, and so impossible to be used by anybody else?

Are the modems supplied by ISP’s for free; some models which are many years old by now worth anything?

    No, I don’t imagine so.

Yes, I suppose the Eircom one must be > five years old, as they re-branded to Eir a while back.

The 7530 is probably the only one that would attract decent value.

    That ZyXEL is 2.4GHz only.

The Vodafone Givaboxes are pretty junk.

Even more! The F1000 was the first router that Eircom used when they launched the VDSL service, so could be dating back to 2010! I remember they launched a trial service in Dundrum around then.

Where can they be recycled does anyone know? Local authority?

In my area, and electricals for WEEE recycling can be dropped off at local amenity centre run by one of the bin companies.
