    Hi all,

My son is looking for the latest switch console for his birthday. i know nothing about game consoles whatsoever but I saw the cost online and in stores and they are approx €350 and that’s without a game, which is very steep.

I am also looking on adverts.ie to see if I can source a cheaper alternative.

I did see though that a refurbished switch oled device can be bought for approx €250 in some stores in Ireland. Has anyone ever bought a refurbished product from one of these stores and id so are there any negatives? The refurbished offer states it comes with a 5 year warranty.

    Thanks,

When’s the birthday? New console within the next months so it won’t be the latest any more. More likely to get a better value OLED after the announcement at least

thanks all. The birthday is at end of January. What is an Amazon market place sale and do they let you know in advance if a product will be on sale by any chance as a favourite or mailing list ?

They are products that people return to amazon in various condition levels that Amazon resell. No notice in advance.

I got a Switch barely unopened for about 100 quid a while back. I bet you'll see a lot of Switch 1s here when the new model comes out/is announced. But it's only a bet.

Also, I would say nintendo will continue to see Switch 1s at discounted prices after Switch 2 announcement/release for a couple of years.
