Thinking of buying a LG Instaview or Samsung Series 8 American fridge freezer but concerned if there are any issues it'll be difficult to have them repaired. Does anyone know what they are like for repairing appliances in or out of warranty? I'm guessing they probably outsource it to 3rd parties

Had an LG washing machine. Lasted a few years but then needed to get it repaired. Only 2 official LG agents in Ireland. The local independent repairman said it wasn't worth the cost of getting it repaired, so bought a new Zanussi machine.

You are probably correct in thinking that a 3rd party outfit will take on the warranty repairs. Find out who is your local repair man before you buy so you are prepared in case of problems down the line. Ask him about LG reliability when you have found him.

Have a Samsung washing machine. Tore the door seal, Probably due to something being caught and it pulled. Wasn't covered under warranty but had it fixed by one of their approved agents within a couple of days. Same guy fixed PowerPoint fridge for me while he was there, also under warranty
