Has anyone used or using a Wildcat Panther on a 10/22 with the factory .92in bull barrel ? Thinking of getting one but as far as I can see only about .5mm to spare based on the barrel diameter. That should be enough to clear the barrel, tightly, but any real world experience would be helpful.

    thanks

Accuracy went to **** the more rounds I fired with one on my 10/22 with a Kidd barrel

Thanks. That's not good to hear. Most reports I've seen of them were good.

I presume it was the .92in bull kidd, did the mod rub the barrel or was it a good fit ?

Also, was the noise reduction good ?

Fit was grand, noise reduction was good but accuracy, after 20 odd "quick" rounds and accuracy slipped. I'm no expert and everything was connected properly and the only conclusion I could come to was the baffle area was allowing "smoke" to be retained which caused issues.

I went vmcackcto a SAK, no issues doing same thing 🤔

Funny you say that, I found a lot of "smoke" at the action, probably noticed it more than most as I'm a lefty

I've the aluminium wrapped Kidd bull barrel, which steps down slightly so isn't exactly .92, actually .85 and it's a fairly close fit.
Their website says yer good to go, .92" is 23.368mm.

I found moderator seemed to fill & retain "smoke" which I reckoned affected accuracy on a range session where a significant amount of ammo was used in a short time with no break.

Thanks all for the feedback. The smoke retention I'm a bit less worried about as I never fire too many rounds in a short time frame. On the size, there is 0.6mm of space around the bull barrel, in theory, which should be enough. However, at this point I'll wait till the New Year and go take a proper look at one and try it on the barrel before I buy.
