Removing Sky router, connecting directly to ONT

I'm about to switch from VF to Sky (never a customer of them before) and I have a Siro FTTH box.

Have people been able to remove the Sky's router completely, replacing with your own one talking PPPoE? What about the credentials for authentication, too much trouble to get them from Sky?

You can use any router instead of the Sky supplied one as long it supports VLAN 10.

Login details:

Username is anything@skydsl

Password is anything

once its set up it will "just work", and anything is better then skys hardware, its very limited.

Only if it supports VLAN tagging and PPOE. I don't think it supports VLAN tagging, have a look in the menu and see if you can find it.

Nope, I have the same setup.

Nest Pro doesn't support VLAN 10 tagging so needs a managed switch for it to work.
