There's no requirement for anyone to wear high viz on a bike, some do some don't. A lot who do wear high viz like to be Polite.

I'd assume that's because you're from Dublin but if you were from Limerick or Cork you probably wouldn't call it the Red Cow exit.

If I was at the Dunkettle Interchange, or Bothar na dTreabh, I'd refer to myself as "approaching the Dublin Road" - on the grounds that it's the road that eventually leads me back towards something vaguely approximating civilisation. So I can fully understand why our country cousins would excitedly refer to the Red Cow Interchange as the road that leads them back away from the big scary place. I just wish they'd learn how to use the correct lane while escaping.

They are doing speed checks for the military speed limit for military vehicles. They have no ability to do anything to, or interesting in doing so, to a civilian speeder.

This was likely just undercover Gardai rather than a fraudster doing it.

I saw it too. The Gard passed later on, and was looking into every car for mobile phone use.

Ah, it's not our fault. Sure we go from spending most of our time driving on a lane that has grass growing up the middle of it and where you're actually hoping to meet another car at some stage so you can stop for the chat to driving in what seems like 47 lanes of traffic and signposts and off ramps that look like they were designed by some mad Chinese scientists trying to mess with our ingrained driving logic of only using signals occasionally…..
