Of course, but they're tricks that are basically essential if you're playing games that are graphically intensive. Framerates for games that run natively at 1440p or higher with rt are awful. Very few people are gaming without using upscaling these days because there's very little visual difference when used and native framerates are so low with all the bells and whistles on. The 5090 which comes out at the end of the month is the most expensive gpu you can buy and at 4k ultra with path tracing gets around 30 fps without upscaling.
