Secured or Unsecured Loan

I have some large loans, circa 30k or so with Avant, 38k or so with Credit Union. Are loans of this size normally secured against my house? Dont have the documentation to hand

How is "usually" going to help you? Lets say, hypothetically, "usually" means that in 90% of cases, loans of that size are not secured against the house. How does that help you? How do you know you're not in the 10%?
