    Hi Folks.

    Would anyone know what's causing this. The odd time I can flush the toilet and there's a normal flush but most of the time there is a weak or no flush. I lifted the lid and took a picture of the various parts of it helps in any suggestions as to diagnose what the problem could be and if I will need to call in a plumber to fix it?

    The siphon washer is a plastic flap inside that wide white tube in the right, most likely its perished and not pushing the water when you flush.
    Drain the cistern and dismantle the siphon, it’s a flappy plastic bit inside, something like this;

    Not a difficult repair and definitely don’t need a plumber.

    Not a difficult repair if you know what your doing but a lot to go wrong if you dont get it right.

    From the camera angle it looks like you are lucky and have a siphon that splits in two parts, I think I see a Blue nut half way down the left hand side. A lot of hardwares sell replacement washers for a euro or two. Google/Youtube will show you how to replace it. If you are reasonably handy it should be easy enough.
