Just festivals lined up for now. Borderline in Feb, Primavera and BTP (hopefully) in June and ATN in August.

    Oh and MBV, can't wait.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,236 ✭✭✭Mike3549

Limp bizkit, Olivia Rodrigo, Linkin Park, Robbie and the Offspring. Will keep an eye on mad cool, but probably will pass as usual. Have a feeling thats it for next year, have to slow down a bit, unless something huge comes up.

Oh and Ricky Gervais, if that counts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 249 ✭✭Put It In H

    Just three planned so far;

    Madeleine Peyroux in February

    John Cale in March

Iggy Pop/In The Meadows in June

Didn't get a ticket for MBV but might keep an eye out for resales/toutless closer to the time. Saw Lana Del Rey last two times she was here so decided to give that a miss this time due to both the ticket prices and the venue (she'd be perfect for a small intimate venue, it's a shame she's too damn popular!)

July - Weezer trinity / oasis mcr

August - ATN / oasis Croke park

Primal Scream are still on my "to see live" list, there always seems to be something else going on when they play here. This time they'll be playing the night before I have an exam so I've to give them a miss, again. 😞

Fair play lads. Lots of goodies there. I've only La Femme in March, Divorce in April and Supergrass and Throwing Muses in May thusfar. Plus Green Man in August. I look forward to adding to that. 2024 was a great year of live music for me. Here's to more of the same in 2025.

I am trying to work in a trip abroad to see Sabaton during the new European tour.

Fairly light so far in 2025. I thought 2024 was brilliant for symphonic metal and rock in general.

If anything better comes up in Cork, I'll part with the Snow Patrol tickets.

14th February - Dara O'Briain, Cork Opera House

22nd February - Queen Extravaganza, Olympia

    23rd March - Wardruna, Olympia

    22nd April - Anastacia, Olympia

19th June - Snow Patrol, Musgrave Park

25th June - Iron Maiden, Malahide Castle

17th October - Rhod Gilbert, Cork Opera House

    5th November - Saxon, Olympia

    26th November - Hans Zimmer, 3 Arena

I'd a stacked lineup for 2024 this time last year.. not finding a whole lot worthwhile for next year yet.

    So far, I only have:

    • Frank Turner - The Academy - February
    • Inside No.9: Stage/Fright - London - March
    • All Together Now - Curraghmore House - August
    • Oasis - Croke Park - August

May end up doing another summer festival next year.. but they're all a bit samey in terms of lineup and nothing shouting at me. ATN has the best lineup across the UK+IE in my opinion so far.

Best smallish one I've seen on the European circuit is Northside - Barry Can't Swim, LCD Soundsystem, Weezer, Raye, James Blake etc - in Denmark. All plant-based food, expensive food and drink and not heard great things unfortunately. So may hold off.

So far Steel Panther is the only one I've a ticket for, considering Green Lung in February and Iron Maiden but that's sold out will get a second hand ticket in the next while.

I've been gifted tickets to the Libertines in two different concerts in Germany next February. So planning a bit of a gig to gig road trip for that! That's my top goal at the moment. Gonna be smiling ear to ear the whole time I think.

Strangely for me no other gigs planned as yet. Though I think a friend bought tickets on the early sale to next Octobers "Chez Jack L" show. Which will be a blast from the past because I saw him do that tour when he first did it some years ago. But I have not talked to that friend for a little bit so not sure if he got the tickets in the end.

I was offered tickets to the Fontaines but I only just saw them in Munich and was possibly the worst gig I've ever been to. So think I will get that one a miss :( Though they did seem like they should have been better. First time ever really seeing them. And first gig I have ever been to in 30 years of gig going - where not a single fan even tried to shout for an encore. Which might be some theme or narrative with that band and is perfectly expected and normal if you are "in the know". But when they went off and not one person shouted for more I just thought "Yeah I wouldnt either"!

Other than that - I have heard rumors as yet unconfirmed that someone might have bought me VIP Bruce tickets for Frankfurt. I won't get my hopes up just in case. But if confirmed will make me a happy chappy.

I seem to keep getting gifted tickets though. I need to look at 2025 and start buying tickets for others and myself soon. So I will enjoy this thread now for some inspiration!

Wardruna at the Olympia, 23rd March

Gavin Friday at Vicar Street, 10th April

Orla Gartland at the Olympia, 12th April

There have been a lot of announcements the last 2-3 weeks that interest me, so I will buy more tickets in January/February.
