    Read that post again

It said that nobody in FF or FG blamed the Green party for closing the peat power stations, but the public blamed the Greens anyway.

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.

The limit was on distance that could be travelled in outdoor exercise, not the length of time of outdoor exercise. You know fine well that 'duration' means 'length of time'.

From FG perspective, they would be far better off, sitting out this term and telling FF to do a deal with SF… Housing etc , all of it , will get worse. This is FFG fault, but they would be far better sitting on the opposition benches and watching things get worse, re- group, maybe a new leader and do far better come the next election…

Not a fan of our current Justice Minister. Nothing personal, but I hope someone else gets that job., We need progress on the issues I mentioned above.

I do to. In fact I think she has been very weak and ineffective in the role.

Seems highly likely. It's actually pretty exceptional for ministers to remain in situ from one administration to the next

Totally agree. I expected FG to move to Opposition and let FF-SF have a tough few years in govt before roaring back in with loads of "I told ye so, those two can't be trusted". FFG will fail all their housing targets and it will get worse. I also think there will be a lot more niggle in this cycle.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Hundred percent, they are running out of road with the spoofing and lies... imagine housing actually getting worse after another five years of their failure... it will be an untenable position. Ffg support would likely drop to 20-30% combined. If a new party with a very credible leader formed, cut income taxes, government waste etc, no more woke shite...

Sure they won't even get the numbers they were claiming for this year. It was all smoke and mirrors. They have 300k to build in next 5 years. Fascinating to see who gets Housing and Justice.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Somewhere a monkey's finger curled and McEntee will either get the housing or transport ministry.

    Wishful SF voter thinking.

FFG can hit the housing targets over the next term, and even if they dont quite get the 300k, they will be close.

SF policy would see nowhere near 300k built, so for the benefit of the country, FFG at the helm is the best option.

No chance I'd say. FF will want to take housing I reckon. McEntee would signal planning to fail. Harris should take housing but he will take Foreign Affairs to be squeaky clean.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Laugh out Loud! You think if you arent a FFG voter, you have to be a SF voter? I can identify, they are all beyond useless. How long have we had a housing crisis for? the last several years, all we have heard for years is, how housing is top priority… So , housing completions will be the same this year as last year… You tell me, how in gods name, they want to build 60k units an an average… They dont want high rise, they want schemes held up years in planning, they dont want to provide adequate infrastructure, that is for starters… There are a load of other issues…

They want immigration flood gates open, even if you provide more units, prices will still go up if there is more demand than supply…

Housing is a problem for a minority, thats the issue. Its an issue for hundreds of thousands, maybe a million ? But maintaining the status quo and power, is far more important to politicians… You would need serious action and commitment if they had any will to massively increase output, a fraction of the action they took during covid. Very funny how they can immediate and dramatic action, when it suits them…
