We are due to travel to Paris in January and the airline (Veuling) have just notified us that our flight has changed from Thursday morning to Wednesday evening. We can get a refund or we can change to another time or date free of charge but as we have our hotel booked we do not want to have to change dates. The other airlines are twice the price now if we were to get a refund from Veuling and change to another airline. Are Veuling responsible for our hotel price for Wednesday night? Thanks in advance

unfortunately more than two weeks in advance all they have to do is refund or offer an alternative on their airline, presuming they don’t have flights on the Thursday that really only leaves you with a refund. Or pay out of pocket for extra night in hotel.

NO they're not responsible. Would your travel insurance cover it ?

I never thought of our travel insurance. I will ring them tomorrow to see if we are covered. Hard to work out from policy document. I wonder will it fall under the cancellation or curtailment up to €6k.
