Recommendations for Road/Forest Tyres for 26 MTB wheels

Hi There Currently using Continental 26 x 2.1 front explorer and Continental 26 x 2.3 rear vertical I have to cycle on road for about 7 miles each way before i get to the Forest. Can anyone recommend a tyre that can do Road and off road as the ones im using are quite knobbly and not really ideal for frosty roads Thanks…

If it's purely road and fire road in the wood then something like this might do the job.

If you're doing something a bit more off road in the woods then maybe Maxxis Rekon or Ikon.

I should add that there's no perfect tyre when you're doing a mix of terrain, it's more about the getting a good balance for the conditions you ride.
