Don't worry about it, that happens with both the first of something licence and with names over a certain length.

The details, make, model etc are all stored on pulse correctly apparently but the licence comes out like that.

The NV scope licence will cover mounting it to anything, from rifle, pistol, shotgun to dishwasher. ;-)

It essentially supercedes your rifle licence with NV ticked on it.

No argument here that PULSE is not fit for purpose, considering it's age it is no wonder let alone the information input into it.

As for the fields I suspect it is field that when "Other" is selected it displays a new box to enter in the previously unknown make/model via freetext.
I have never encountered it(nor heard of it) for caliber so I suspect that is pretty well sewn up, and there is a lot smaller list of calibers than Manufacturers. Models I believe are a free text field because of their more variable nature.

But also the relatively recent revelation of NV/thermal being enforced as requiring their own restricted licences rather than an authorisation is also going to stretch(because of the make, model, nonexistant caliber, etc) and bloat(total number of NV/thermal licences currently as a tickbox vs entering all of their info as a "normal" firearm) PULSE significantly, which I'm sure was carefully considered prior to the decision to enforce the rule 😂

Absolutely perfect, there is no need(or justification for) another safe.

So as long as your ammunition is:
1 - stored separately from a firearm it can be used in(like you couldn't store a 22lr pistol in a ammo box with 22lr ammo),
2 - in a receptacle that is locked
you are golden, and that ammo box is certainly a receptacle, and once it is locked you are fine.

And that is also perfect for transporting your ammo about(which is reason I included section 4C above too).

Yup no issue at all.

The only reason that SI for storage and transport was implemented was to prevent owners having quick access to loaded firearms, which the above accomplishes.
