NHK World TV free-to-air

    Basically, can I tune it in (as well as other foreign free-to-air ones) on satelite? Just got the dish today, use it for watching free digital stuff.

    JSTV sometimes is clear - usually for news.

    When you say " just got the dish" do you mean $ky? Have a read here. What Capt'n Midnight says is spot on!!!.Keep the questions coming!!! :):):)

    I was just reading that now :) Didn't get $ky, better no tv then tv with them. Just got it for stuff I could pick up free.

    The site says we can pick up some free-to-air stuff, but I'm a confused child so I emailed them.

    I tried both those with no luck :( do you have to have a special satelite or box? I have a panasonic box that has $ky written on the side of it even though i don't actually have $ky digital.

    Yes, I have tuned in those channels on a Sky Box with success. I have lived in Japan for a few years, so it was interesting to watch them.

    However, remember that your dish needs to be pointing in a different direction to receive them, as they are on a different satellite to the standard Sky channels!
